When I first learned about Good Science Beauty®, I was immediately drawn to the name. Anything based on science is definitely a favorite on Chemistry Cachet!
There are so many skincare products on the market today, so it can be hard to find something that works for your skin. I test out dozens of skincare products for you every year to find the best things that really work.
This product is one of them BECAUSE it uses science to deliver results!
I will share with you HOW it works plus the results it will supply to your skin. I don’t talk about expensive products often because very few are worth the price to me. This product is something I had to share with you because I was so surprised how much it transformed my skin!

A Science Based Skincare Brand That Will Transform Your Skin
Good Science Beauty utilizes a unique delivery system called Good Silicon+™. This product uses the element Silicon (not to be confused with SILICONE) to carry the active ingredients to your skin. You can put product after product on your face, but it doesn’t necessarily mean it will deliver the ingredients past the top layer. Many times you use products and will notice small results, but it doesn’t seem to penetrate deep enough for lasting results.
This is where Silicon comes into play for this brand.
What does Silicon do?
Silicon is a natural element found in the body. It carries active ingredients effectively to the skin.
Simply put, Good Science Beauty takes Silicon, wraps it in layers of lipids and amino acids which protect the ingredients. Lipids are so important for our skin, so the skin draws in those lipids from the Silicon.
On top of that, Good Silicon+™ has a positive charge! Our skin is negatively charged. Just like with a magnet, opposites attract. The skin and the Good Silicon+™ are drawn to each other!
Lastly, the Good Silicon+™ carrier particles naturally break down to release ingredients where they’re needed over time. The carrier itself breaks down to orthosilicic acid, the absorbable form of silicon, an essential micronutrient mineral which plays an important role in skin health and acts as a collagen and elastin promoter and is also involved in anti-oxidative processes within the body.

The hydrating face cream I have been using works wonders for moisturizing skin due to two powerhouse ingredients. Hyaluronic acid (which we love on Chemistry Cachet) has a large impact on skin hydration. It plumps the skin giving a healthy, youthful look. This product also contains Marine Omega-3 which prolongs the hydration.
Another product I have been using is this skin firming cream. This has very unique active ingredients! Barley extract is an anti-inflammatory and also contains wound healing properties. This combined with the active ingredient poria cocoa (a mushroom), that keeps collagen from breaking down, providing a youthful spring and tightness to skin.
My Results Using This Science Based Skincare Brand
After using these products everyday for over a month, I am excited to share my results with you!
First, just after a few uses, my skin was so smooth and hydrated.
My problem areas are under neath my eyes. I have dark circles and fine lines along with under eye hollows (more so than under eye bags). My under eye area is so plump and smooth! I was very surprised how much it improved my fine lines and dark circles. I know this is due to the powerhouse hyaluronic acid! Remember a few weeks ago when I shared my scientific tips on dark circles? This product encompasses this and helps dramatically with dark circles!
Another improvement is my skin tone. My cheeks, jawline, and forehead have a smooth tone and more youthful appearance! I went to the store without makeup recently and had a lady ask me how my skin was so glowy??
I’m very impressed with these products!

I started using this product when we shared this post in 2019. It is now 2021, and Good Science Beauty Firming Cream continues to be a staple in my skincare routine. I try new products all the time, test them out, and share results with readers. I always head back to this product, and I always see a difference in my under eye area! Just curious if you took before and after pics?Also, I noticed the hydrating face cream contains Retinyl Palmitate. I once tried Roc retinol eye cream and I was super uncomfortable bc I didn’t realize the side effects of using retinol. Maybe there’s a difference between retinol vs Retinyl Palmitate – perhaps it’s not as concentrated? (You’re the chemistry expert, lol!) Did you notice any negative side effects?
Hi Amy! Yes, we shared before and afters on instagram stories. This is retinyl palmitate, a mild, more gentle form of Vitamin A. It is also low on the ingredient list, so it is even more mild. Retinol is a pure form, so highly concentrated. Retinol causes skin irritation in the beginning because it is so potent, this is not the same. The Niacinamide and sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid) are some of the key ingredients in the hydrating cream (along with shea butter). Both of these sooth and moisturize, not irritating for any type of skin. I used both of these creams I talked about without any type of irritation. I have sensitive skin and bad eczema, but these are gentle creams. This is why I was so excited to share them because I have trouble finding creams that don’t burn my face!

I still use the Ordinary especially for their serums. What I like about Good Science Beauty is the hyaluronic acid is delivered better with their ingredients which tightens, brightens, and plumps skin well. It makes it a really great moisturizer compared to most. I continue to use many of The Ordinary serums for treating fine lines!
