April Hail Storms in Texas

Remember last Friday when I shared all these beautiful April blooms with you?

I am so glad I did because we had some serious April hail storms in Texas this week! All my plants and flowers were beat pretty bad, so all those blooms are gone 🙁

It looked like snow on Tuesday night when I woke up around 2am from the noise. I looked outside, and  hail was coming down pretty hard! It lasted a good 30 minutes and finally died down. I think it was just the trees and plants that got hit, luckily our home looks okay. It took awhile to get it all repaired from last year’s tornado, so I hope we don’t have anymore damage.

April Hail Storms in Texas !

I love spring, but honestly it is a little irritating for us. Every year we have pretty bad storms that result in damage. Both of our cars have been totaled from hail damage the past few years, not to mention our house too!

Hopefully, it won’t be as many as last year!

Dried lemon powder

This dried lemon powder from Monday’s post has been on repeat in all my smoothies this week. I am getting over an arthritic flare and it helps so much! Not to mention, the house smells so wonderful 🙂

Texas Bluebonnets

I shared another one of these on Instagram last week, but Ruger was too cute in this one as well. He was getting sick of posing after so many pictures, so he gets an attitude about it lol. We take a picture in the bluebonnets every year, and I am so glad we got this one because the hail storm pretty much destroyed the rest of them.

April hail storms in texas. April Sunrises

Lastly, I want to share with you another picture of the awesome sunrise. I shared another one on instagram last week, but this time of year, they are absolutely amazing! I guess that makes up for all the bad weather we get in the spring!

Easter this year will be a little different since my husband and brother both work. My parents and I are taking my Grammy out for lunch, and I am also making her a surprise cake. A few months ago, she shared with me a recipe her mother used to make in the early 1900s that she actually got from her mother before that…so it is a very old recipe. My Grammy said it was her favorite cake growing up, and she hasn’t had it in probably 50 years. So, i am going to make it for her 🙂 I will share on snapchat this weekend!

Have a great weekend and Happy Easter!

Oh no sorry to hear all of your beautiful blooms go beat up with the hail. Such a bummer!! Believe it or not we had a heavy rain downfall last week while I was driving and hail was hitting my car…quite strange for Florida. Happy Easter weekend!

Happy Easter weekend, Alexis. So much damage from TX spring storms! Hope your home doesn’t have damage. I wasn’t sure what Ruger was looking at in the first picture… Have a blessed Easter with your family. I have brunch with mine, and also doing some volunteer work.

I am grateful that the hail didn’t damage your home or cars but it makes me so sad to think about the blooms. Your instagram has been beautiful lately and of course Ruger is simply just Ruger!! Happy Easter my friend.

Awwww, your pup is so stinkin’ cute!!! I love his little face 🙂 Damn, you guys got some pretty bad hail. I live in NJ and I can’t remember a hail storm–it’s definitely been a few years. I’m so sorry it ruined all of your flowers 🙁

That’s so nice your making a special cake for your grandmother that she hasn’t had in 50 years! Hope you have a very Happy Easter!!
