Reading has always been a hobby of mine starting way back when I was a little girl. In fact, going to the library was one of my favorite activities to do in the summer!

I spent so many years only having the chance to read intense academic books in college and now that I am free from those chains, reading is something I do to relax! Some think because I am an academic writer, I only read educational books, but that is definitely not true! One of my goals the past few years has been to read more and enhance my home library.

I just finished reading Astor Place Vintage and it was the perfect mix of fun, historical, and enjoyable. I don’t share many book reviews with you, but this book really struck me as unique and worth the read.

Review: I really connected to Amanda, the modern day owner of a vintage clothing store. She has a unique passion for a by gone era, and finding an old journal really sparks in her a reason to keep going in life. I love how it goes from her point of view to the journal author’s, Olive, point of view. It has a unique twist at the end that really brought the two stories together. If you are anything like me and love anything vintage or historical with a little romance, I think you will really enjoy it!
