Easy Mexican Restaurant Garden Salsa

6.4.15

I have got an amazing, fresh summer recipe for you today! This recipe is slightly adapted from an old fiend whose parents owned a Mexican food restaurant. When my husband was in the Marines, we were stationed near San Diego for many years. There was always some kind of event going on that always turned in to a potlock situation. I always made my cookies! Anyways, this friend I mentioned always brought this awesome salsa. You know, the kind you literally can't stop eating once you start? It was always a huge hit. For years we begged him for the recipe, but he always said no it's my parents Continue Reading >>

Vintage Lantern Refurbished

6.2.15

This post may contain affiliate links. These help support this website. I have been looking for an old lantern for a few years now. I wanted a nice heavy one for outdoor use or indoor use. I was about to buy one I saw at Target just to settle, but then I stumbled upon a beautiful worn vintage lantern at our local antique store. It was incredibly heavy and it had a $15.00 price tag, so I immediately scooped it up. My husband and I are working on creating some dreamy backyard ambiance. I showed some of our inspiration awhile back (read here) and now that summer is unofficially here, we Continue Reading >>

Summer To Do List

5.27.15

The beautiful days of summer are quickly approaching and I still get that giddy feeling about it like I did when I was young. Summer has so many wonderful memories for different seasons of life doesn't it? For instance, when you were eight years old, summer couldn't come soon enough. All you dreamed of was how awesome summer would be. Staying up all night, sleeping in a tent on the trampoline, swimming all day everyday, hitting up the snow cone truck, and eating as much junk food as possible. When your in college, summer is all about being as lazy as possible both mentally and physically. Your Continue Reading >>
