benefits of an ultrasonic facial

I get emails all the time about facials, so today I thought I would share with you the benefits of an ultrasonic facial plus how it works!

It has been a LONG time since I got a facial, and there are so many different options available. Many readers approach me because they have a gift card or want to treat themselves to a facial, but don’t know what to do!

One reader in particular emailed me a few months ago and said she had a gift card from her family to get a facial. She had the gift card for months, but had no idea where to even begin.

I think this post will be really helpful for anyone who would like to try this out!

If you live locally (Granbury, Stephenville, Weatherford, or Fort Worth Texas area), I highly recommend going to Kimber at Blushes Salon in Acton. She is so knowledgeable about skincare, and she will help you choose the right option for your skin!

The Benefits Of An Ultrasonic Facial

The Benefits Of An Ultrasonic Facial from Chemistry Cachet

When I went to see Kimber, I told her I wanted to do a treatment to help my dull skin, which always happens in the winter. I also wanted something to help with fine lines, wrinkles, and just add some youthfulness back into my skin!

She suggested an ultrasonic facial which I was not familiar with. I have heard of it, but wasn’t sure how the technology worked.

What Is an Ultrasonic Facial Toning Machine?

The machine they use for ultrasonic facials uses low frequency vibrations to remove harmful substances from the skin. The process is referred to as cavitation. By using ultrasonic waves, you get a variety of benefits to your skin!

It feels a little like someone taking a soft comb and brushing over your face. It doesn’t hurt, and it is non-invasive!

What does an ultrasonic facial do for your skin?

The benefits of having an ultrasonic facial are endless! For a complete list of benefits, you can check out the manufacturer’s post here.

Here is what I liked about it:

  • Exfoliates
  • Removes dead skin
  • Minimizes appearance of pores
  • Softens wrinkles
  • Hydrates
  • Drives nutrients into skin
  • Helps with acne
  • Encourages collagen synthesis

Hydration Products Used During The Facial

Along with the machine, they use specific products during the treatment to amplify the benefits.

One of the products Kimber used during the treatment was called Rest-N-Restore which provides intense hydration back into your skin during the facial. The key ingredient to this product is hyaluronic acid. Which we know on Chemistry Cachet to be one of the keys to youthful skin.

After the machine cleanses and exfoliates, the other steps push the nutrients back into your skin.

Using a product like this during an ultrasonic facial really plumps your skin and helps with fine lines and wrinkles. The machine makes it soak in deeper!

What Skin Types Can Try The Ultrasonic Treatment?

The manufacturer recommends it for all skin types! Sensitive skin, acne, dry, rosacea, aging, or regular skin can benefit from this type of treatment.

When can you see results?

I noticed results immediately after this facial. My skin was very plump and bright! My pores were much smaller on my nose and cheek area too.

The next day, my skin was SO soft. My husband was like wow, your skin looks so good. I also noticed the blackheads I get on my nose were gone. I was so impressed!

The neat thing about doing a facial like this is each time you do it, you will continue to see improvements.

Speaking of this, I have had readers ask me how often I get a facial?

How often do I get a facial?

It has been YEARS since I had a facial. Working from home, being a mom, and wife, there aren’t many opportunities to do things like this. This is why, I really wanted to do something impactful for my skin health. Most of the skincare I do is simple things at home that are powerful and doable for anyone.

There are things we can’t do at home, like intensive treatments like this. So, I think investing in a professional facial can be an important thing for your skin health. Especially when you choose a treatment like this that can have immediate and lasting results.

Something else to keep in mind, facial treatments like this ultrasonic one, can help your home skincare work even better. Especially if you are just getting started on skincare! When your skin is healthier, your products work quicker and better.

Even just doing one treatment like this can help your skin dramatically.

I hope to do this twice per year, but even if I can only do it once a year, that is still good!

Where can you go to get ultrasonic facial?

You can check around your local spas and salons to see if anyone offers it. They aren’t super common in our areas, so if you live anywhere near, head to Blushes Salon to see Kimber! Call the studio above or her cell phone too. Oh, she also does massages too! You can get the entire treatment!

Depending on where you live, prices vary for treatments, so again, be sure to check with your local spas to see what options they have.

I hope you enjoy trying it out!

I’ve never heard of an ultrasound facial. I am wary of facials as my skin is so sensitive – I shy away from descriptions with “retin/retinol” or “fruit acid” etc. I think I get one every 2 years but it’s a steam/pore cleaning only type. I will check w my esthetician what kind she does.

I definitely recommend asking what they think for it! I have sensitive skin too, but this is non-invasive, so my skin didn’t get irritated. I can’t wait to go again in the next few months!
