Science is responsible for so many things that make our lives easier and healthier.
Like these chemistry hacks that save time & money around your home (I mean using cabbage for pH, that’s cool!) or eating pineapple for your health due to the chemical benefits.
Another neat thing about science is all the things you can use topically to combat aches and pains. Many issues you experience in your body are due to muscle pains, joint aches, even nerves under the skin. Using rubs can not only soothe the pain, but it can also help long term, minimizing inflammation.
Our sponsor this month, Sally for Hope Health and Healing, has a great post on a rub called Deep Blue.
Deep Blue is a topical rub with an oil blend of Wintergreen, Camphor, Peppermint, Ylang Ylang, Helichrysum, Blue Tansy, Blue Chamomile, and Osmanthus. All these chemicals are fantastic for soothing pains in your muscles and joints.
This type of therapy is always soothing for my Rheumatoid Arthritis! Especially the fingers!
Today, we are giving away a bottle of this deep blue rub to a reader! You can check out the details on the bottle here. This retails for $39, so it is a great giveaway to get you started!
Giveaway ends on 1/20 at the end of the night. Valid for US residents!
Have you used topical creams for pain before? I’d love to hear about it!

I’ve never tried a rub for pain before but the ingredients in this sound like they smell amazing! I’m always sore in my joints after working out so this might help! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes

It really does make a difference! Especially when you put it on before and after! Immediate relief 🙂

Pamela – this rub has been SO helpful for my joints. I do use prior to working out if I have a particular area that is being difficult. I also love to layer it with Lemongrass for an extra punch. If you like the “tingle”, putting it on after a shower is amazing.

One of my good friends recently told me about Deep Blue and how well it works for her knee pain. She likes it better than Sombra or BioFreeze. I’m using another product for neck pain and muscle aches from workout now (Sombra). Once I finish this, I will try the Deep Blue.

Laurie – I’ve used BIoFreeze, Tigers Balm, and several others and this seems to work the best, and is the longest lasting, of the bunch. I love that it’s natural and works with my body to help it do what it needs to do. oh. It smells fab too! 😉

I have too. So many have been duds. This one has a nice strong sensation that really takes over the pain, especially in the joint area!

Florence – it certainly is my favorite. With my RA, I’ve tried A LOT of things too. I’ve found at different times (depending on what my issues are) pairing it with other oils is super helpful. It’s been fun to learn about the different options.
