black and white map decoration

I love black and white photos for decorations. And I really love the new map trend too!

This black and white map decoration is a really fun idea for your home. Ordering prints and framing them yourself is a really cost effective way to decorate.

We have an entire row of 12×18 prints in our office. Some are black and white, and a few are colored.

When I saw that Modern Map Art had Fort Worth for an option, I knew it would be perfect.

Easy black and white map decoration

I bought a simple black frame for it, and hung it in the office.

One of my favorite times of the day in my office is when the sun is setting. The west sun barely comes through the office window, but just enough to have sunlight coming through. The sun creates this really neat glow on the computer and my houseplant with twinkle lights.

In the summer, it is HOT this time of day, but in the fall, it is my favorite.

The black and white print goes well with the vibes in here too 🙂

How to Order

You can find your city here. Just scroll through and see what they have. Most major cities are on this list.

They also have it available up to size 24×36!

I think next we will order all of the cities we have lived in and those to the office as well!

So, what do you think of the map trend?

++ I received a free map in exchange for my honest opinion. Thank you to Modern Map Art!

Looks great handing on your walls! I haven’t seen much map photos out there so maybe I’ve been hiding under a rock but it’s cool to have layout of your own city.

This is fun… I grew up using paper maps (think Thomas Brothers map books, AAA, etc). Now we are in the age of GPS… And paper maps are making a comeback as art. I like your idea of decorating with maps from where you’ve lived/travelled, etc.

I grew up with paper maps too and there is just something about them. My husband still uses them when he’s at work because their GPS system isn’t that great. But I love the black and white versions!
