Instead of my typical favorites from the week, this is just going to be a Friday post because it has been a crazy week to say the least. Do you remember this post I did at the end of the year about super crazy things that happened in 2015? A big part of the craziness was the bad weather we had (and always seem to have) in Texas. We had some bad tornadoes and some record hail storms last week that left our new car completely totaled and a large retaining wall falling down from flooding. We picked up the pieces and moved on eventually, but since then, I have DREADED with all my heart the Continue Reading >>
What YOU Love & What You Want to See More of!
Last month, I posted a little (or really a big) post about why I even started blogging and how it was a blessing in disguise for so many reasons! I have been able to take something I truly love (chemistry) and combine it with something I've always loved (writing), and make a job I am excited to work on each day. For months, I wasn't sure what my focus really was because I honestly have so many passions. After brainstorming and getting feed back from all my readers, I have been able to really hone in on what Chemistry Cachet is all about. Helping people is really what the best part about Continue Reading >>
Daydreaming of warm, sandy beaches + $50 AMAZON giveaway!
Do you know what I miss more than anything? Living next to a beach! We lived in California for many years and were just a short 3 minute drive from the ocean. It was always such a nice little break in the day to hop over to the beach and enjoy the salt air. The California beaches weren't my favorite though! The Pacific is WAY too cold for me and the sand isn't the most beautiful either. My favorite beach is by far in Florida. I have spent time on the eastern coast, and the western part! When my husband was stationed in Pensacola, we spent the majority of our time on the Continue Reading >>
Mini Rose Series Part One: How to Pot a Mini Rose Bush
Spring is almost officially here, but in my neck of the woods, everything is coming to life outside! The trees are budding, the grass is growing, and my roses are starting to come to life too! Roses are one of my favorite plants to grow and they have the prettiest blooms. The very first thing I did in my house was plant four roses bushes. Two climbing roses in the backyard complete with DIY trellis, and also two hybrid tea roses in the front. Sadly, one of the hybrid tea roses died last spring when we had a month of flooding. All the others are thriving at two years old and doing Continue Reading >>

This post may contain affiliate links. These help support this website. Speaking personally for my husband, the biggest thing he misses from not getting to eat dairy, is my chocolate chip cookies! He was by far my biggest fan and could eat an entire batch in a short time. Now that he can't eat dairy at all, without getting very sick, he is always dreaming about those cookies! This past year it has been my mission to recreate this favorite desserts in a dairy-free way he can enjoy. I've completed his favorite pumpkin pie, his favorite brownies, and his favorite cake! The trickiest Continue Reading >>
