In light of Veterans Day, I wanted to share a story with you... Last Thanksgiving started like any other. The day dawned chilly and clear, with the scent of leaves and dew in the air. We loaded up our stuff early in the morning, and drove to my parent's house for the celebrations. My husband always has to work on the holidays, so we had to get there early so he would have time to make it into work by 11am. It was a beautiful 30 minute drive south and just a perfect day in general. Ruger was still a little puppy then, well he was young I should say. Friday Favorites – real life & pretty things
Hello Friday! This whole time change thing has made this week SOOOOO long in my opinion. I am an early riser no matter what, but setting the clocks back mean I am up around 4am. Makes the day so long! Hopefully I adjust soon ;) This week was full of real life stuff & pretty little things. We've had so much rain lately, all of my flowers are blooming again which I love. (with a delectable pumpkin spice latte DONUT recipe ;) ) Being a chemist, I get asked some neat scientific questions by readers Continue Reading >>

It’s Just a Bunch of Hocus Pocus!
And just like that...Halloween is over and it is November! I shared some really special, memorable Halloween experiences with you last week, so I thought it would be fun to share with you the new memories! This year was extra festive because we actually had cooler weather, with a ton of rain! It made for a mystical, traditional Halloween! As Winifred Sanderson would say, "It's just a bunch of hocus pocus!" Pumpkin carving is an annual tradition for us and we spent all Friday evening carving, watching our favorite movies and eating kettle corn! My husband decided to do a bulldog and I am Continue Reading >>
