What’s On My Checklist Right Now
In chemistry, we have this thing called a checklist. It's something you absolutely have to follow to make sure you are prepared for an experiment, and to make sure you do everything correctly. If you don't follow that list, things probably won't go well. Now that I use chemistry for more fun things like baking, I still follow a checklist. Do I have the ingredients? Do I have the correct utensils ready to go? Do I know I have my ingredients? Either way, checklists are important to get anything done right. I realized the other day, I was getting a little disorganized in general. Almost like Continue Reading >>
Spontaneous Day Date
My husband has always worked strange hours, with random days off most of our marriage. Even in the Marine Corps, he worked nights, weekends and holidays. Now that he works in Nuclear Security, his days off are always different and he works evenings. When he finally gets a day off, it is usually jammed packed with errands, projects and responsibilities. Needless to say, we don't get much date time. Tuesday he had the day off, so we decided to spend the day doing some fun things together! It ended up being the best spontaneous day date we've had in a long time! Continue Reading >>

Anyways, this is a fall version of my vanilla chai tea frap I posted earlier in the summer! This one can be hot or cold and is ready in less than 5 minutes! Continue Reading >>
Five Favorite Things
How is it ALREADY Friday? Not that I'm complaining, but I felt like this week just flew by. Did you feel that way too? I am sad to say we've been experiencing really hot weather again, almost 100 degrees for many days this week. The good news is, I have been seeing subtle hints of fall colors popping up, so I am praying we get some fall weather soon :) Until then, I've just been pretending it is like that! Onto my Five Favorite Things this week. One. See that beautiful Dahlia above? My husband and I had an impromptu day date this week. We headed over to the Dallas Arboretum (Part of our Continue Reading >>
