This chilling autumn reading list is perfect for this time of year!
I have been really getting into mysteries again, so I wanted to share all of my favorites with you to enjoy right now. It has been a few years since I shared a reading list with you. Since Amelia was born in 2018, I have not really read much.
As summer was coming to a close, I had an urge to really get back into reading. Especially now that she is getting older and sleeping well at night.
I like to keep a book with me whenever I go places in case I need to wait, I always have something to read. I have also been enjoying staying up at night reading instead of watching TV. It’s a nice break!
Anyways, here are some of the things I have been reading and loving! Be sure to follow me on instagram and instagram stories where I am always sharing my latest tips and finds!
Chilling Autumn Reading List
The Death of Mrs. Westaway
My pilates teacher recommended this to me. I have heard of this author, but have not read her books yet. I started with this one. It had a TWIST I didn’t expect. I ended up reading it in a few days because the plot really thickened, and I couldn’t stop reading. Great book for fall!
We talked about this one on instagram stories, and everyone was wanting more info for it!
Echo Falls Mysteries
This are young adult books, but really fun to read. Another recommendation from my Pilates teacher. These are great little reads for fall, full of mystery. The thing I enjoy about YA books is they are simple and appropriate. You don’t have to worry about bad language or anything (which I really hate to read). I have read the first two of these books and enjoyed them!
Murder is Easy
Agatha Christie books are always great for an autumn read. Murder is Easy is a great mystery! I just read this one for the first time, and it is one of my favorites now. This is perfect for a chilly, rainy autumn day!
On the Street Where You Live
Mary Higgins Clark has always been one of my favorite mystery writers. The first thriller I ever read was her first book. I dug through my book shelf to reread some of her books this season. On the street where you live is a great mystery! It is fun to read, perfect for fall.
Weep No More My Lady
This is another favorite one from Mary Higgins Clark. It is good for end of summer/early fall. It has a good twist too!
The Alice Network
I have heard everyone talking about this novel. This is a historical fiction, but an amazing mystery set in WWI and WWII. This type of book is perfect for fall reading! I highly recommend it.
Crypt Suzette
Cozy mysteries are always fun, easy reads. This one has the perfect autumn, Halloween season to get you in the mood for October. I love the theme and setting!
Harry Potter Series
Harry Potter is popular for fall and autumn. There is a book series, but I also like this most recent one which is really interesting! I had a few people asking if it was good, I think it was a good read for this time of year!
This autumn reading list is my favorite so far, I hope you can find a new book to read this season! Or all of them 🙂

Happy pre-fall! it’s going to be in the 90s here this weekend. ?. Ah yes, mysteries and thrillers in time for Halloween and the cooler season. Something about a blanket and tea and a mystery (even in air conditioning lol). I have a large stack of cozy mysteries and thrillers to get through… and some on my kindle too. If you want a good (medical) thriller and psych twist, read Tess Gerritsen’s Rizzoli and Isles series. They were made into a TV series.
Any ideas what Miss Amelia is going to dress up for Halloween ??

I always love mysteries/thrillers but they are definitely very suitable for the Fall months. I want to read more Agatha Christie. My favorite, so far, is The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. I really like The Halloween Party too. 🙂
