Who else can’t believe it is November? I am blown away, but excited at the same time. I just adore this time of year and I am already so excited about Thanksgiving and Christmas!!!! So, here’s a little November love for you!
Today I am Linking with Anne and Jenna for their currently link up 🙂 Currently I am…
Cooking: Soups! I have been trying out some fun new ones since we are finally getting some slightly cooler weather. I have been baking more than anything though. Everyone has been ordering cookies for fall! Whipped up these oatmeal cranberry raisin ones last week.
Smelling: Candles…I am truly addicted to candles in the fall. This pumpkin pie candle is my current favorite, it smells heavenly. And have you seen this Turkey & Stuffing, perfect for Thanksgiving!
Appreciating: Cooler weather (which is the mid 70s for us). So grateful the heat is over in Texas!
Anticipating: The holidays. I love Thanksgiving, but I completely adore Christmas. It is seriously the most wonderful time of the year. I am the nerd that puts up my tree in November and starts listening to music this month too 🙂
I am also excited about my November newsletter coming out soon! Last month’s was a lot of fun and a big success. This month will be even better with some exclusive recipes (PSL donuts!), behind the scenes and just some fun information. I am busy working on the details, so sign up below if you’d like to join me 🙂
What are you currently up to? Any November love to share?

I am using the slow cooker a lot and cooking soups as well. Fall is the perfect time for them! I am so curious as to what that turkey and stuffing candle smells like!
Alexis says
I smelled one similar and it smelled like spices, it was good! I feel like it could go either way!

Love your thoughts! I also adore candles and burn them year around. The Pumpkin Pie scent I am sure is delicious! Have a great week, Lynn

Same here on Thanksgiving/Christmas – though I do make myself wait until after Thanksgiving to start any Christmas music, to keep it special 🙂 Thanks for linking up!
Alexis says
I try to wait as long as I can, but I get so excited :)))) Thanks for hosting!

Happy Wednesday in November! Your term, “November love” got me to thinking… November is that transition time of the year – still sunny days (high 60s) but cold nights (40s), after the summer and before the hubbub of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Kind of nice… I would like to burn candles again… I do use those wax melts – I have rosemary and lime currently. And I’m going to use my crock pot a lot… so great for advance cooking! Enjoy!
Alexis says
November really is that transitional stage, it is nice to relax and enjoy it before all the hustle and bustle of the Holidays! I love those wax melts too! Have a wonderful day!

Ashley @ Wandering Weekenders says
You sound just like one of my best friends! She starts counting down to Christmas almost immediately and as soon as November hits the Christmas music is on! This year she started watching the Hallmark Christmas movies Halloween night. She’s a bit over the top.
So happy the weather is finally starting to cool off! We made nothing but soups for dinner last week and it was amazing!
Alexis says
That is so funny! I saw that had Christmas movies on that night, but I resisted. I am trying to wait as long as possible for the music, but I feel like it will happen anytime now lol
Kate @ Green Fashionista says
Those cookies look delish! And I’m super excited for the upcoming holidays 🙂
Alexis says
I am so excited too! Yay for the Holidays!

It’s been so warm here in Chicago, it doesn’t feel like November. That will change… I’ll be looking to make cookies and soup soon! Thanks for linking up to Home Matters Party. #HomeMattersParty http://cu-rio.net/home-matters-linky-party-62/

Those cookies, omg! Now I feel like I need to whip up a batch and have a few with a tall mug of hot cocoa. Yuuuum! I’m more of a warm weather spring person, but there really is a lot to love about fall!
Alexis says
They are really delicious! You will definitely have to make them 🙂 Thanks April! Have a great day!

Alexis, I am 100 % with you on this one. Fall is definitely the best time of the year. I also live in a warm climate, coastal area and look forward to the temperature cooling off a bit. And who can resist a pumpkin weather it is in shape or as a pie or cookies? This is the time to snuggle under seweaters and light those scened candles. I’m going to enjoy these moments, because winter for us means lots of rain. Of course it is then that we light the fireplace, which is magic in and of itself.
Alexis says
I always get excited about the first lighting of the fireplace! Winter is all over the place for us. Last year we had snow in November, this year it has been in the high 80s and 70s all month and the leaves are barely turning! You never know what you are going to get! I love snuggling under blankets and sweaters when it finally does get cool 🙂 Have a great weekend!
