I’m still a little blown away that it is already April…I am glad that we are in the spring months now, but it still crazy how fast time flies! I thought I would pop in today to share with you what I am up to right now.
Currently in April I’m….
making: some healthy treats in the kitchen! I have been having so much fun redoing some old family favorites to make them healthy or dairy-free (for my hubby)! Also creating some dairy-free baking tips. You can follow me on snapchat (username alexisroch) for some fun tutorials like this dairy-free coffee infused coffee cake I made on snap!
I also made a healthy lemon loaf bar last week which I will share the recipe on soon!
wishlisting: Some metal dining room chairs. I have been searching forever for some! I think I found some at Ikea that I like…
cleaning: Everything! I have been on a spring cleaning kick! I enjoy cleaning so much more once spring comes. Are you the same way?
posting: Some fun things for my chemist solutions series! This week I was excited to finally post about a topic I get asked all the time..is decaf food for you? I’ve got some other fun posts coming up that I am busy working on which I am super excited to share!
tasting: All the fruit! That is the best part about spring and summer! The raspberries right now are so cheap and delicious!
So, what are you currently up to this month?

Those raspberries look delicious. Some nasty snow hit us this week, but I’m hoping I’ll see some delicious fresh fruit popping up at farmers markets soon!
Currently I’m packing for vacation. Which is exciting, but I always worry I forgot something!
Alexis says

Happy Wednesday… April is almost 1 week old (and gone).. Yikes. As for spring fruit – the bestest strawberry vendor returned to my local farmers’ market last weekend – so excited. We had some good raspberries last weekend. I can’t wait until blueberries arrive – can you grown blueberries where you live in TX? As for the cleaning, seems like I’m constantly doing that, so it’s all-season for me. I might do a little extra cleaning in certain areas as needed. Enjoy…
Alexis says
Happy Wednesday! I really miss those California strawberries! We used to live next to a U-pick farm in San Diego and they had the best Strawberries. We don’t grow good blueberries in Texas…blackberries do well though! Hope you have a great day!

I’ve got my spring cleaning list that I’m slowly working on. It’s turned cold here so I’m putting off the backyard spring cleaning! PS – I’ve got to join SnapChat so I can follow you.
Alexis says
I hate when the weather puts things on hold! Yes, you definitely need to join. I just love it! Even if you don’t post anything of your own it is fun to follow others 🙂

My spring cleaning list is a mile long and I’m anxious to get it done, but I just don’t have the motivation. I promised myself I’d finish it before summer hits though!
Alexis says
It is so hard to find the motivation sometimes! There are days I get over motivated and go on a cleaning spree…others not so much lol

I’m always looking for dairy-free recipes to make for family get-togethers (my mom and sister have a dairy allergy), so I’m going to be checking yours out for sure! I’m also loving all the fresh fruit that is starting to appear in the stores that is locally grown! As for spring cleaning…I can’t wait for the warm-up we are finally getting this coming weekend – it is always easier to clean when you can have the windows open and fresh air blowing in!
Alexis says
I hope you can enjoy some of my dairy-free recipes! It always helps having options for those that can’t have it 🙂 I agree!!! Windows open make cleaning so much better!
