Happy March! Yesterday, I talked about all the signs you know spring is coming, but it is true! Spring is coming quick and I am super excited!
Currently in March…
wishing: for more time in the day. There is so much to do and working from home means I have tons of distractions (especially when the weather is getting warmer!). Some days I think, how is is already time for me to cook supper?!?
craving: fresh fruit! I love this time of year because all the fruit is starting to get ripe and taste amazing! I have been eating a ton of raspberries recently…so delicious!
going: to the park for long walks…our favorite weekend activity when the weather is nice. Also going to the my parents for some relaxation time! This view never gets old!
wearing: workout clothes…pretty much everyday. Since I work from home, I also workout at home during breaks, plus I chase around a fat bulldog all day! I am excited to be wearing flip flops for spring though 🙂
learning: more about my camera! I have been playing around with my Nikon D5300 off and on, but this past month I have really been learning more about it. I am taking a course and I bought this really good, layman’s term book for it. I have been sharing a little bit about it on snapchat (username :: alexisroch). I will be doing a full snap on the book soon!
March is always like the gateway to spring and summer, don’t you think? I am really looking forward to working on some outdoor projects the next few months and getting the backyard looking pretty again for summer! What is your favorite part about March?
P.s – the monthly newsletter will be popping up in the next week or two 🙂

I can’t wait for spring!! We just got a ton of snow overnight and my work announced a snow day. I love fresh fruit and totally wish I could waltz into my backyard and pick some!
Alexis says
Oh wow! Well, at least you get a snow day out of it 🙂 I am hoping my blackberry bush takes off so I can go out and pick blackberries anytime! I would love to have all types 🙂
Keri says
I just love March so much (of course it is my birthday month hehe). Love some fresh fruit took sooo good!
Alexis says
Happy Birthday! The bulldogs bday is in march too 🙂 I love fresh fruit too!!
Sheryl says
I know Spring as we had 70 degrees over the weekend but I woke up to 27 degrees this morning and the chance of snow tomorrow. It brings me hope to look out in the backyard and see the beginnings of the buds on spring flowers.
sheryl says
So this should say I love spring – I don’t think I’ve had enough coffee!!
Alexis says
lol, I know what you mean!! More coffee for me this morning 🙂
Alexis says
Oh wow that is chilly! It looks like we will continue to have warm weather…but Texas has been known to have one last big ice storm randomly even in April lol. I love seeing all the buds too, so inspirational!
Allison says
I can’t wait for warm weather either. Those raspberries look delicious and I’ve been sneaking in hikes with the family when we get a rare day of 50*+ weather.
Alexis says
Walks with the family are the best! I hope you get to enjoy some warmer weather soon 🙂
Emelia says
I crave fresh fruit and smoothies as the weather gets warmer! Yum! I need to work on my photography more but always seem to push it to the back of the list and work on other things first. I gotta get to it!
Alexis says
Oh me too! Warm weather and delicious fruit definitely go hand in hand 🙂 I have been trying to work on it as often as possible, but I always get so busy!
Kate @ Green Fashionista says
I like to workout out during lunch while working from home too, yay for workout clothes and of course fresh fruit <3

Happy Wednesday! Loving the sunshine and moderate weather today, but rain is forecasted for the next 5 days – we need it! Back to rain jackets and sweaters! And then there is the time change to daylight savings time on 3/12. I have to change so many clocks! And to lose an hour of time… Looking forward to pics of your new blackberry bush! Enjoy!
Alexis says
Happy Wednesday! We need some rain too…but I don’t see any coming up , so I am loving the sunshine! I totally forgot about the time change! It is coming up so soon!
Laura says
I am CRAVING fresh fruit!! We have a little while to get the really good stuff here (Indiana), but we have seen some semi-warm days…and by warm I mean 40, which feels warm after 10-15, lol!

Well at least it is getting a little bit warmer lol. I can’t imagine 10-15 degrees, that is crazy! I hope you enjoy the coming spring 🙂
Emily @ Martinis & Bikinis says
You’re so lucky you get to work from home! But how does one practice chemistry at home? lol I’m still trying to learn my Nikon DSLR settings to shoot on manual. I even took an online course and I’m still very confused on getting the prefect settings for different scenes.
Alexis says
That is awesome you have a nikon too! Which model do you have?? I took a course as well, but I enjoyed the book I read more. It was very easy to understand. I will review it soon, I highly recommend! I love working from home. Blogging and my academic business keep me busy all day, but I enjoy it!! Sometimes the days are just too short though to get everything done!
Olya @ The Siberian American says
I know what you mean with all the distractions that come from working from home! I am so excited for spring. Hopefully it will come to Chicago soon because it has snowed the last few days! Fresh fruit is the best. 🙂
Alexis says
There are so many distractions at home! I hope you get some nice spring weather soon 🙂
Jo-Anne says
I do like fresh fruit and I miss long walks through the bush, my family will not let me go on a bush walk alone and I prefer to walk alone so what is a gal to do
Alexis says
Long walks are the best!
Meg Dean says
oooo fresh fruit sounds delicious! We’ve been trying to buy fresh fruits and veggies more the last few weeks after far too long of a winter with frozen veggies 😉 I also totally get you on the wearing workout clothes! I work from home too and I never have anything exciting to say about what I’ve been wearing. Typically sweats, leggings or yoga pants!
Alexis says
Oh yeah, yoga pants all the way! I try to buy cute workouts clothes, so I can feel like I am doing a little something to look nice lol. And I love how I can go straight into a workout from working at my desk 🙂
Anne says
I feel you on the work-from-home distractions… usually I’m really good, but there are some days that it’s just hard to get it all done! And that fruit looks amazing – sadly it’s a while before things are in season here. Snow on the ground still!
Alexis says
That is crazy y’all still have snow! It is going to be in the 70s again today…although the wind is crazy right now!
Kylie says
I’ve been craving fresh fruit like crazy lately, especially blueberries and bananas! I just love that it’s getting warm again!
Alexis says
The blueberries are starting to get really good! I love the warm weather too!
Amanda @ Anchored to Sunshine says
I really need to put aside some time to start learning how to work my camera…. ughs! Just not enough time in the day!
Alexis says
That is the hardest part! Finding time! I try to set aside a day or two a week to learn some more, but some weeks (like this one), it’s just not gonna happen lol 🙂
