It’s the most wonderful time of the year & I am loving all the beautiful December magic. The house is so full of Christmas joy, and always seems to be so much prettier this time of year with the twinkling lights and Christmas tree.
I am just so excited about this month and have so many AWESOME things to share this season with you.
Currently I am…
Wishing: For a white Christmas…but that happens once every 50 years in Texas! So, I am really wishing for time to move a little slower. I feel like this year has just flown by way too fast!
Remembering: What a good Thanksgiving we had, and how fun this fall was. I made a huge list of things I wanted to do, and we did most of them! This time of year I always remember December magic that came every year as a kid. I was always that little girl who was OBSESSED with Christmas and counted down the days in November (or October lol). It is fun to remember how sweet and magical those times were.
Wrapping: Gifts for my friends. I have all of my close friends bought for which I am happy about! The only thing I add to each gift is some of my specialty cookies along with some of my homemade chemist approved chocolate coffee sugar scrub (recipe soon). I love adding homemade touches to their gifts each year 🙂
I bought this BEAUTIFUL wrapping paper at Target a few weeks ago. It is probably my favorite to date, anything coral and gold I love 🙂
Baking: COOKIES! People order so many this time of year, so there is always something to bake. I am also practicing some decorating techniques which has been so fun. People always ask me how my cookies turn out so great, well stay tuned because tomorrow I am sharing my ultimate secret tips to the perfect chocolate chip cookie! I wrote out all my little chemist tips step by step for you to bake to perfection. I can’t wait to share!
Decorating: the house for Christmas. I feel like it never really stops. I have finished the tree and fire place. Now I just have some stuff to do in the guest room and office. We need to decorate outside too! We usually do that the day after Thanksgiving, but this year it was really cold and rainy so we had to wait!
I hope everyone enjoys this wonderful season! I am so excited for a month full of Christmas fun! Follow along on instagram for more 🙂
Have a great day!

This year has gone by in a BLINK! I can’t believe it’s almost 2016. So many changes for our family this year. I’m trying to enjoy them but I will admit it’s difficult. 🙂
Alexis says
It really has! We have had some changes too…my husband starting a new career in law enforcement has been pretty difficult, but we are trying to just embrace how hard the academy is, know it will get better soon. Only one month left in this year…crazy!

I cannot imagine a white Christmas every “50 years” haha. I am an Ohio gal and we have one almost every year… usually a white Thanksgiving, too 😉 and I LOVE that Target wrapping paper. So pretty!

Your excitement for the holidays is practically jumping off the screen… you make me smile at your happiness. I LOVE wrapping gifts – my cousin used to cook/feed me dinner if I wrapped her presents (at least 15 of them). Sometimes I would use a box from work to throw my nephews off – presents in a electrical parts/wire or copy toner box, etc. As a young adult, I would dream of working in the gift wrapping dept of the store… still a dream – maybe one of these days. Hmmm, I have ingredients to make cookies this weekend…
Alexis says
I love it too! Wouldn’t that be a fantastic job…I used to dream of that too. When I was young, I thought it would be so glamorous to work in a department store at Christmas and wrap beautiful gifts 😉 My family still makes me do all the wrapping lol

What a pretty Christmas tree! And I love that wrapping paper! I love a white Christmas as well, but I’ll hold off on snow for now….once it arrives it feels like it never stops snowing! That’s awesome that you’ve finished shopping for your friends. Still working on getting my shopping done!
Alexis says
Thank you! I can see where snow would get old since it stays so long. We only get it once in a blue moon, so we get excited lol

Pretty tree. We only have a mini tree up right now because we got a new cat & we think she might be a little crazy with the big tree. Stopping by from Saturday sharefest.
