Cute DIY Personalized Hanger for Baby Shower. Only a few supplies needed and very easy! chemistrycachet.com

It’s a tradition for me to make a little something for my friends when they are expecting. I like to do something that is sweet, simple and can work as decoration for the shower, as well as something they can take home.

A few years ago, I made a personalized baby frame to hang on the front door for a shower. She took it home and it is still hanging in her little girls room 🙂 Unfortunately, I didn’t blog then, so I don’t have pictures, but it turned out really cute. It was a little more expensive to make.

For this project, I wanted it to be easy and affordable for anyone to do! I found a cute vintage pink hanger that I decided would be fun to work with.

Even without a vintage one, you can purchase them online too! Here is how I made this cute simple baby shower hanger.

Supplies:

  • Pink Puffy Hanger (found here â†’ Satin Padded Hangers in Pink)
  • Banner (I used this Pink Polka Dot Flag Banner)
  • Letter Stickers (Any kind you like in scrapbook section)
  • Baby Pins (I used these Baby Shower Decorative Pins Pink)
  • Ribbon
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Optional embellishments : buttons or other details.

Step 1: Cut down banner to fit inside hanger. If the baby has a longer name, you can make the pieces smaller to fit. The banner was fairly larger, so I just used the triangular tips.

Step 2: Hot glue the banner onto the fabric. I placed them below the hanger before to make sure I got them even, then glued in place.

Step 3: Attach the letter sticks. This is optional, but I outlined the letters with purple to make them pop a little more.

Step 4: Glue baby pins to the middle or corners of banner.

Step 5: Add ribbon, buttons, or any other embellishments you want. I did some ribbon on the hanger part and added in buttons that had the same color tones.

That’s it!

We hung this on the dessert table. It was a cute way to announce the babies name too!

I will be posting the rest of the baby shower details soon. My mom did most of the decorating and she always does such a beautiful job! Have a great day!
