My husband bought one of these for my car a few years ago now, and it has already saved us many times.

What is it?

It’s a portable air compressor that plugs into the power or cigarette outlet in your car.

I never knew a portable air compressor would come in so handy, but now I tell everyone about them because it is so easy to keep one of these in your car.

Let me share!

Everyone Should Keep One Of These In Their Cars

My husband is a super handy guy to know. He is always prepared for emergencies and keeps things in a vehicle for all situations. Before our vacation to beach in May last year, he got me a portable air compressor for my car just in case.

We got 30 minutes outside of town, and my car alerted us that we had a low tire. It went from low to flat within a few seconds (picture above).

He pulled over into a driveway and checked the tire. There was a huge bolt inside!

So, he got out that air compressor and plugged it into my power outlet.

I figured it would take forever to air back up to 35 psi from zero, but it only took about 5 minutes!

He also brought his tire repair kit and fixed the tire.

If we didn’t have that portable air compressor, we would have had to put the spare on and drive the 20 + miles or more to the next town.

It happened again…

The next month, we took a little drive around town and my car beeped again. I had a low tire!

Within a few minutes, I had a flat tire. We were able to pull over and air up the tire so we could drive to the tire store.

I thought sharing this post around Christmas time and winter time would be a good time of the year. If you are looking for a unique Christmas gift, this would be a really good option for someone!

But also, buying one for yourself to keep in your car this winter is also a great idea.

It works for all types of tire sizes.

What Type Of Portable Air Compressors Should You Purchase?

We have several of them now for each vehicle. I have this one for my car because it is easy and light weight for me to use, plus doesn’t take up much room to store.

We have a big truck with large tires, and this works for those tires also! We have used this thing so many times now, it has paid for itself.

I think this is something to keep in your car during the winter months, but really all year! It has helped us so many times now.
