Facts about me! Alexis from chemistrycachet.com

1.  I have researched & studied chocolate in depth!

Most of you  know I have a degree in chemistry, but I did my final research in college over chocolate! Chocolate is the ultimate chemical! You will always find fun tidbits and recipes about all things chocolate on Chemistry Cachet 😉

2. I don’t like shopping for clothes at all, I prefer shopping for shoes! I have way too many, but I love them 🙂

3. Online shopping is where I do most of my buying, it is so easy and simple. I buy everything from Amazon!

4. One thing I use my background for is baking! I sell cookies all the time to customers locally (cookie orders). Who would have thought having a chemistry degree would lead to that? It is just on the side, but I enjoy it!

5. Most people are so sure I am in my early 20s (sometimes even 18), but I am far from that now! 28.5 to be exact!

6. My husband and I are exactly 5 days apart. I’m February 21 and he is the 26th.

7. My favorite thing to wear to bed in the summer is my husband’s T-shirt and a pair of workout shorts!

Even on vacation when I pack cute little PJ’s, I always end up wearing the usual! Like below on our beach vacation with some friends, we woke up really early one morning to watch the sunrise…no cute sleep stuff for me 🙂

tshirt8. My husband and I just got our first professional photos done in December! We went almost 8 years without getting any. Our wedding was a very small marine corps wedding, so we didn’t have professional pictures then either.

5873r9. I love spray paint! A lot! I use it all the time for almost anything…I was interviewed recently by a chemistry student to talk about spray paint, so I though it would be fun to share those facts with you. You can read that post here.

10. Our bulldog, Ruger (Roo-ger) is named after the gun brand RUGER…my husband loves guns so we thought it was a good fit. We almost named him Gunner, but we knew too many people who had used that before 🙂 Oh and fun fact about Ruger, he loves snow and rain, but only if it produces muddy puddles to splash in!

snow2Thanks for reading my part II today. I’d love to learn more about you too! Tell me some facts about you and connect with me on social media!

I am 27 and people have often thought that I am a teenager. Many people take it as a compliment when they look young, but it can be really annoying! For example, a day when I was tired from a long shift at Target (don’t work there anymore) and just wanted a refreshing six-pack of Woodchuck cider, but the cashier thought my I.D. was fake.

I love getting to know you better! We share many things in common – shoes, online shopping, spray paint and chocolate! Of course, I’ve already told you how I love Ruger1 🙂 I’ve also always looked younger than my age. It can be annoying but as long as it stays that way as I get older, I’m Ok with that!

That’s so fun we have a lot in common! You’re right, I know as I get older, looking younger will be a blessing…so I try to stay positive when I get carded for a R rated movie 🙂 Have a great day Sheryl!

I love this! I always am so interested in posts like this! Amazon is seriously where it’s at. And of course, I love Ruger and his name! Poor Opie has a wrinkle infection on the top of his head! Like really?! Never crossed my mind to wipe the top of his head, didn’t realize his wrinkle was deep up there. Freakin bulldogs.

Yes amazon! Poor Opie! Ruger had something like that in his neck rolls…we washed him with this special oatmeal shampoo and it healed right up! I need to follow you on instagram to see more pics of his wrinkly face 😉

Hi Alexis – I’m fairly new to your blog – I started reading in May around the time of your RA post – so these “fun facts” are great to get to know you! I was wondering what branch of the armed services your husband serves in and about the origin of Ruger’s name – check that off. I like your professional photos. I know it peeves you now that you look so young, but “when you get to be my age” (almost 51), it’s wonderful! Someone said I can pass for mid-30s (on a good day). For me I think it’s in my genetics – my 80 year old mom looks like she’s late 60s.

Fact about me: I’m 6 years older than my husband… and he’s 10 months older than my “little” brother.

You’re so right Laurie! My mom is almost 58 and everyone thinks she is barely 40, so they all laugh at her when she shows up to 55+ events 🙂 I’m so glad you are reading my blog so we can get to know each other better…that is so neat that your husband and brother are that close in age! My little brother and I are 7 years apart, so we have many years between us too!

It was so much fun getting to know you through this post! I’m a baker, too, and my mom and I used to sell pies during the holidays. Spray paint is awesome and I’m so excited to read that post soon 🙂

Your pictures of you and your husband are gorgeous, by the way!

That is so awesome that you sold pies! What a fun thing for the holidays! Yes, spray paint is amazing! Anything can look pretty again with a little spray paint 😉 Thank you so much! My husband absolutely hates getting his picture taken, but I think he always looks good in them 🙂

wow! that’s nice that you got to study chocolates in more detail. how interesting that is! Also, i get the comments about the age. i mean, generally, i feel flattered but sometimes, i am not sure if the wrong guess is due to my looks or maybe i am just acting childish for my age. eeeps!!

Haha I never thought about that…maybe I am acting too young 🙂 Studying chocolate was so fun to end my chemistry degree! Since the degree was so torturous, I was excited to do something exciting at the end!

Great facts! My hubby is a gun collector also, and one of his favorites is his Ruger. 🙂 Enjoy looking young. You will appreciate it when you are older. I am 47, but because I have a young daughter and until recently worked with teens, people assume I’m a lot younger. I am pretty immature also, LOL! So that helps.
