The first official day of fall! The start of my absolute favorite time of year!
I seriously love all the wonderful activities Fall has to offer and I want to take advantage of the season and do as much as possible. I am a list maker for just about everything, so every year I make a fall to do. I shared my summer to do list and how much we did…I am happy to say we did almost every single thing!
Fall To Do List:
To Make:
♦ Make our favorite caramel apples from scratch – I will share this recipe soon 🙂
♦ Homemade kettle corn
♦ Roast pumpkin seeds from the pumpkins we carve – this is another one of our traditions every year!
♦ Crockpot apple butter
♦ Perfect pumpkin chai tea latte to share with you! Check out my crockpot pumpkin maple latte too!
♦S’mores outside under the pergola with the fire pit!
To Do:
♦ Annual hot air balloon festival
♦ Finish Ruger’s costume, last year he was a pumpkin 🙂 {p.s – sign up for my newsletter below for a sneak peak of his costume}
♦ Take a scenic drive to Athens, TX
♦ Take a scenic walk and take pictures of fall foliage! Picture below was last fall in our neighborhood (we get these colors in November).
♦ Carve pumpkins. Below is last years pumpkin!
♦ Scary movie marathon with fall inspired treats! ( hopefully do this more than once 🙂 )

I do not make bucket lists. One thing I’m looking forward to this fall is taking the grandkids to the pumpkin patch. They are still little enough to get excited about it.
Alexis says
Aw I bet that is a really sweet time to share with the grandkids! I still love the pumpkin patch 🙂
Pinky says
Wow, what fun fall ideas, I hope you get to do them all. I love that you still enjoy s’mores in the fall, mmm, mmm, mmm. I love carving pumpkins, such a great fun tradition!
Alexis says
I hope we do too! OH man, I love carving pumpkins as well…I can’t wait!
Christine says
When you make your caramel apples, you should send one to me! 😀
Alexis says
I would absolutely love too 😉 They are the best thing ever!
Elizabeth @ Guilty Chocoholic Mama says
“Make our favorite caramel apples from scratch – I will share this recipe soon.” Promise? 😉 ‘Cause my teen got her braces off and says she WANTS caramel apples this season! 🙂 I’ll look forward to the recipe…in the meantime, have an awesome inaugural autumnal day! (Using the word “autumnal” as often as possible was #1 on my “what I’m hoping to do this fall” list, so thanks for letting me chalk up another use here!)
Alexis says
Autumnal is the best word ever invented! I use it so much my husband is like, ummm is that really a word?? I’m like OF COURSE it is lol. I can’t wait to share that recipe for the caramel apples. It is wonderful!
Liz Jo says
Sounds like a great fall list! that hot air balloon festival looks amazing. And definitely scenic walks in fall are wonderful, especially right as the foliage is changing.

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF FALL Alexis – it’s FINALLY here! I like your fall to-do list… Ruger looks so good as a bulldog pumpkin… can’t wait to see what you have designed for him! We bypass Halloween at our house (hubby was “tortured”/traumatized by his mama as a boy to participate). Love the crispness of the cooler weather, and the beautiful fall foliage! I’d love to try to make caramel apples – hubby loves those (he says the apple nutrition nixes the sugar content!) Have a beautiful FALL day!
Alexis says
Yay! I am so excited it is finally here. Your hubby is so right about caramel apples 🙂 We feel the same way! Have a wonderful fall day!
Vanessa @ Living in Steil says
Sounds like you have a lot of fun activities planned! I can’t wait for your caramel apple recipe. Those are my favorite thing about fall. I’m excited for apple and pumpkin picking…and can’t wait to get some good snaps of the fall foliage.

I often have to do list written in my head but not on paper and I rarely do the things on the list
Alexis says
I definitely have to write them down otherwise I don’t get it done!

Thank you, thank you, for this great reminder! I am a list maker too for everything but never thought to make a list of all I want to do and make this Fall. It is my favorite season and there I so much I want to take in!

my to do list involves painting the deck and front porch, maybe I should make a list and hang it somewhere I see it all the time so I will be sure to get them done. I have already had two caramel apples so far this fall, it is one of my favorite treats for the season
Alexis says
I haven’t had any caramel apples yet, but I can’t wait to make them! They are so yummy!
