It has been a special summer with Amelia. I wanted to share with you some of our favorite moments this summer! Honestly,  I have hundreds of pictures I love from the last few months, but I have narrowed it down to a few favorites.

Even though summer isn’t over, most people are getting back into the normal routine of school, work, and daily tasks. My husband is back to normal after taking some summer training courses, so for the most part, summer activities are over.

I have shared some of these on instagram and instagram stories too.

Amelia had a wonderful summer! She got to swim in the big pool and her little baby pool.

She picked her first wild flowers with Grandpa.

We started off summer with a trip to the zoo. Amelia had a blast looking at all the animals.

We also went to Fossil Rim and got to see all the animals while we drove around. It was unseasonably cool day, so we really enjoyed that!

I enjoyed iced coffee and slower mornings with Amelia’s new nap schedule (down to one nap a day).

When it was too hot, we watched movies inside. Disney movies, black and whites, and some of our old children’s favorites like The Little Giants, Homeward Bound, and more. Amelia loved it!

We spent a week at my parents house in July. It was like a mini vacation for us and for Ruger too lol He LOVES going to my parents house and being on a leash, watching the cows, and spending time with grandpa.

The 4th of July was so much fun. We went to the parade with our friends and family, then went swimming. We got to watch the fireworks with the perfect view. We had a blast!

My husband snapped this photo from across the room, but we did a lot of cleaning this summer. Amelia LOVES to vacuum, she has her own little one now. I use this one all the time! Don’t mind us, just cleaning in our pajamas lol

Usually, summer is over 100 degrees starting in July, but we had a few cool fronts roll through. We got to spend some 85 or 90 degree days outside!

We made so many pallets on the living room floor with all the baby dolls and stuffed animals. This is Amelia’s baby “Go-Go”

We live next to a cute little park, so we have loved walking down there early in the morning to watch the ducks and swing.

Quick family selfie at the park to finish off our summer activities!

It was a special summer with our girl, and we enjoyed every moment!

What was your favorite moment this summer?

LOVE YOUR PICTURES OF YOUR SUMMER. I can imagine how many pictures were taken and memories were made – special times. Did Ruger lose weight? I’ll hire Amelia to vacuum my house! She really gets “down there”. I try to avoid under the furniture – creaky knees and back! Do you have to be careful of lakes and algae growths? – we have blue-green algae in some of ours and it’s toxic/deadly to dogs who swim in it. Enjoy your summer! Hugs!

Ruger has been on a diet the last year! Lol he was about 10 lbs overweight, but back to normal. Now he’s just pure muscle. Amelia lovessss to vacuum! She will do your whole house! We haven’t had much algae this year because it’s so hot and dry, but some stagnant lakes have some. Luckily, Ruger hates getting into my parents lake. He’s scared! Thank you Laurie! Have a great weekend!

    Alexis,
Yes, as others have said it is great that you share photos of you and your family.
In the first photo of you holding Amelia, what is she holding? It looks like a big boob.
Both you and your husband have such great teeth. You could make extra money on those dental ads :-))
Thanks for the uplifting email. I’m sure with your hot weather you are looking forward to some cooler temps, but I live in Bend, OR and our summers are way
too short. Already feel myself sinking 🙁
    Thanks again for the updates!

In that picture she was holding her baby doll 🙂 she carries that doll everywhere she goes! Aw, thank you 🙁 my husband had braces for a long time, so he certainly paid for his good teeth lol! It is still so hot here, 98 today. I hope you can hang onto some good weather a little longer before the cold sets in. Have a good day!
