Chemistry Cachet's Five Favorite Things From The WeekIt has been an interesting week to say the least. Last week, glorious rain and cooler temperatures graced us in Texas, but this week the weather was back full force with 100 degree weather! Then Tuesday we got rain and HAIL…Oh fall, I hope you come soon!

Writing Inspiration1. Sadly, my computer crashed last weekend! I thought it would be a quick software fix, but somehow, the screen was shattered while being repaired! Now, I have to wait on their corporate manager to tell them how to handle it. In the meantime, I am working from my old, slow lap top. I have been writing inspiration and blog posts on paper and it has actually been very liberating 🙂

Baby Shower2. We also had a baby shower last weekend for my friend who is expecting a baby girl soon. I will have a full blog post full of pretty pink inspiration soon. We had it at my mom’s house and everything turned out so beautiful!

3. I have a tendency to rush into fall because I love it so much, so this week on the blog, I focused on savoring summer. In case you missed, check out this pretty pink tea, our pergola, a favorite back to school memory, and these AWESOME Cold Brew Coffee Popsicles! Once September first hits though, it is all about fall in our house (even if the weather is still summer 🙂 )

Make your own Starbucks S'more Frap!4. I love the flavor of S’mores in the summer and the fall. I think it is the perfect transitional treat for both seasons. I rarely get Starbucks, but I had to try their S’mores Frap. I recreated one at home that is much healthier and cheaper. It is really delicious too! Sharing this on Monday 🙂

Rain from the kitchen window5. My favorite day of the week was definitely Tuesday with our random rain shower and storms. I loved watching it fall from the kitchen window. Felt almost like fall 🙂

What are your plans for the weekend?

I am so ready for fall to come here in NC too. The heat, well, I’m over it too. Plans this weekend is getting ready to dig the school supplies out and get ready to head back to the classroom on Monday. Summer is officially over. Bittersweet this year.

Ok, I’d seen your post about your computer being repaired but I can’t believe they shattered your screen! Maybe you’ll get a whole new computer out of it! And I’m trying to savor the last little bit of summer too.

    Thanks for linking up!

I do the same thing you do, I love fall. It’s my favorite season and so I rush as well. I bought a bunch of sweaters at a clearance sale at the end of Spring and I can’t wait to wear them. And I’m really looking forward to going to the apple orchard. I probably need to take some time to really enjoy the warm weather while it’s still here though.

An apple orchard sounds amazing. I would love to go to one, we don’t have any in Texas like that, but we do have some pumpkin patches, so I will definitely be doing that again 🙂 I can’t wait to wear sweaters either! Fall is the best!

Thanks Kris! I think Starbucks did it as a special summer thing. I had never heard of one either…it is worth a try at least once 😉 If you like it, you will definitely like my recipe on Monday. It is much healthier that’s for sure lol. Have a great weekend!

Also, totally coming back Monday. I think I need a homemade s’mores frap in my life. Happy weekend!

Happy weekend Alexis! Bummer about your computer, esp the shattered screen. Sometimes going “old school” and writing things down is therapeutic, clears the mind. Jealous about the rain – would love some, if just to clean the air… You look so pretty in the baby party photo! Looking forward to the weekend – finishing touches to the deck, family dinner, trying not to rush around as much, catching up on “things”. Have a great weekend!
