What a week we have had in Texas! First off, it has rained so much, everything is completely flooded including my backyard. It is like we live on an island, surrounded by water! Ruger thinks it is the best thing ever! When he goes outside, you can find him totally submerged in the puddles around the yard, splashing and digging. Then, the ritual of picking him up, carrying him inside, drying him off begin. Let’s just say, it has been a messy, muddy week for us. We also got some more tornado warnings, hail, and damaging winds. Other than that, it has been a good week. I’ve got some pictures to share with you again for this Friday. Many of this pictures were on instagram and twitter this week! Make sure to follow along 🙂
1. I had many cookie orders to fill this week, so it was a perfect way to pass by the time on these rainy days. Come back next week, because I have some fun baking tips to share 🙂
2. The flowers are loving all the rain. I’ve got many new blooms!
3. I’m working on some new recipes for Mix it Up Monday, and of course, I have been experimenting with extracts. I’ve got an awesome caramel one to share this Monday. Follow along here so you don’t miss the newest recipes! Last weeks drink was this easy coconut green tea!
4. Finally got around to making some new business cards and they came in this week! This picture doesn’t do them justice, they turned out really good!
5. And to finish up my snapshots from the week, here is a little sneak peak for your. Next week, I will be sharing a fun little DIY. It involves an old vintage lantern I picked up at an antique store a few weeks back!
How was your week? Is anyone else getting tons and tons of rain? Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend!

It has been a strange spring…. and the cool temps are very unusual for this time of year… and the heavy rains… we have been under a drought for a few years… now, lots of rain. Your cookies look great and so do your cards… the caramel extract sounds like fun for experimenting. 🙂

It has been very strange, we have definitely had more rain and hail the last month then the last 10 years combined!! Thank you! I love experimenting with extracts, so many fun flavor combinations!
