Warm and Peaceful Christmas

Happy Friday! It was a nice warm and peaceful Christmas in Texas this year. It reached about 80 degrees, which was a far cry from the week before when it was 20 degrees.

My husband also worked on Christmas Day, so it was a little different without him there to enjoy the day. We still had a great time and it was nice to be with my family. A few days before Christmas we headed to San Antonio to see his family. I shared some pics from that on instagram. We had fun taking a road trip down there!

I hope you enjoyed your Christmas too! . I took about 100 pictures to test out my new zoom lens, so I want to share some of those with you today!

Warm and Peaceful Christmas

My Grammy (who is almost 87) makes carrot cake for all the holidays and it is AMAZING! It isn’t Christmas without a huge slice of that for breakfast 🙂

I absolutely love this new zoom lens! My parents have a small view of the courthouse from their back porch, but this lens really captured a good look at it!

And a good look at the cows 🙂

Warm and Peaceful Christmas

My Grammy lives on the lake in Fort Worth and there is this house across the hill that always has this Texas flag flying. I have never gotten a very good look at it, but I zoomed in to take this picture of it on Christmas!

I always love her view!

My husband tried to take a picture of Ruger and I on Christmas Eve…but Ruger WOULD NOT have it that day lol. He decided to flop on the ground and act like a little kid. We were laughing so hard, this is the only picture we got!

Warm and Peaceful Christmas...

The Book

I am blown away by how many people have purchased the book Chemistry Hacks for Home and Outdoor,  and have so many good things to say about it! Many bought it as Christmas gifts which is awesome! My Grammy doesn’t use any type of technology, so I printed out a copy for her for Christmas. It looks really good in print too!

I hope you have a great New Year’s this year. We will be staying home and have a quite one, but that is my favorite type! We will be back next week with new content and some fun new things to share!

Happy New Year!

How cool about your book! Congrats! I’m in Houston, and we’ve talked about doing a Ft. Worth trip sometime. Any suggestions of places to visit or restaurants to try? Happy New Year!

Thank you! Definitely go downtown to Sundance Square if you get a chance. So many fun places to eat, the AMC theater down there is amazing too. Depending on the weather the Fort Worth Zoo is the best. There is a drive in theater you can go to and ice skating. Let me know if you have any specific questions on places!

Great pictures from Christmas! I love carrot cake but my hubby doesn’t. Oh Ruger the big little ham. Ann was the adorable until she saw the camera, then she would make goofy faces. I bet Grammy loves her new hard copy reference book – so glad your book is selling well! Our New Year’s Eve will be a quiet one, too. I’ll be lucky to make it to 11:00pm! HAPPY NEW YEAR, ALEXIS!!! The zoom lens is great, it really shows off the fact that the neighbors are flying the Texas flag completely upside down!
