Happy August! Hibiscus bloomingHAPPY August!!!!

I was outside taking some photos the other day, and was so excited to see my huge and oldest hibiscus started blooming.  I have had this hibiscus for 5 or 6 years now, and it has been through every kind of weather. This past hail storm we had in April destroyed it, and I was afraid it was gone. It came back, but hasn’t bloomed until this week! I love it’s blooms so much!

Happy August! Beautiful hibiscus

I keep it under our new outdoor kitchen area (which we will hopefully finish this fall), and it has helped. I also baby it with all these care tips!

Happy August!

I shared these headphones on Instagram last week, but I am really loving them! I have the hardest time finding headphones that don’t hurt my hears or head. These are so soft on my ears, so I can wear them all the time. Also, they are less than $20!

My husband bought me this yeti rambler a few weeks ago, and I use it all the time now. I’ve had many different brands over the years, but this is by far the best! I love the color too 🙂

Fun Posts this Week

Everyone has been asking me about my iced coffee this summer, so I finally shared my favorite recipe. And this chemistry secrets post is on of my favorites so far!

Energizing Iced Coffee

Chemist Secrets for Banana Peels for Awesome Skin Care!

My in laws brought us a huge Texas watermelon this week! It is delicious, but it so so big, we could eat on it for weeks lol

I water our little pumpkins every evening, and Ruger always comes out to “help.” It was so hot earlier this week (103), he was not happy about it. He thinks he HAS to come out and help no matter what! lol

Thankfully we had a little cool front this week with temperatures in the low 90s which is SUCH a great break from that 100+ weather for awhile.

Have a great weekend!

I am going to order that Yeti cup for my husband now, I have been looking for a good one for his iced coffees to-go. That pup face is killing me! I feel the same way about the heat buddy!

I can’t believe how much it came back from the storm. It is very symbolic too 🙂 Thanks Mom!!

Happy Friday Alexis… This weather has been bizarre. I’m so ready for fall. Love your hibiscus – my neighbors have this type in their yards – one is quite tall and continues to grow upward; the other is more lush and squat. I need to look into those headphones – comfort at a great price – the ear buds get painful after a while. Have a wonderful weekend!

That is my favorite color of hibiscus. It’s really hot here in South Florida this week too. I don’t remember it being this hot in a long time. Our heat index is 102 and it’s not very pleasant to go outside in this type of heat. Love all he pretty colors in your post today!
