The weather has been pretty rude this week, I must say! Temperatures close to 100 degrees and the heat index over 100 is hard this time of year. I’ll take some fall weather now please!
Despite the weather, I have been working on some FUN, festive projects for the season. I can’t wait to share everything!
I started a little bit on my fall reading, my reading list will be up in a few weeks for you! You can check out this one from last fall 🙂 Mornings are the best part of the day, so I take full advantage of that and catch up on some reading.
Even though it’s hot, my plants are looking so pretty! I am testing out that new homemade plant food and it seems to really be working! I have also used a few treatments of my other homemade food that got this one off to a good start! Hopefully my mums can look pretty this fall too.
My husband is still working nights, so we sometimes go to the park for a nice walk when he gets home in the mornings. The park is so pretty in the morning!
Fall decorating has begun inside! I will be finishing it up this weekend for our football party. Details will be coming soon! We will also be decorating the front porch once the weather cools down a bit. Did you see my DIY pumpkin planter on Tuesday? I will definitely be adding it to the porch this year!
You’ve probably seen this on snapchat (username alexisroch), but the pumpkin vine is growing and looking really pretty! I just wonder if and when it will start making some pumpkins. Things grow late here in Texas so it may be awhile. I am so excited to see what it will do!

We’ve been in the 90’s here and it’s just been so difficult to think about Fall. I haven’t decorated yet and will next weekend. I’ve got some catching up to do on your blog as I’ve been MIA. Hope you have a great weekend!!

It does make it hard to get into the fall spirit! We were working on the porch and it’s in the high 90s already! Ready for some cooler weather!

Happy Friday! This (TX and CA) weather does not “jive” with my definition of fall… lightweight sweaters, scarves, falling leaves… Our area always has a late hot wave or 2 or 3 – betw Labor Day and start of fall – the sun pushes itself to the max to drive me nuts! And this weekend is no different. Sigh – I’ll use my imagination that it’s really fall and have lots to do to prepare for October! Enjoy!

I have been using my imagination too! It was so hot yesterday, we weren’t able to work on the fall front porch area, but I plan on doing it early in the morning when it isn’t too hot! Hope you enjoy your weekend Laurie!
