This week was so busy, but in a fun way! I packaged up some cookie mixes to mail out (which I forgot to take a picture of 🙁 ), baked so many cookies, Christmas treats and delivered more too. That is truly my favorite part of this season! There is such a joy of giving for Christmas, especially in the form of homemade treats 🙂
I love how our town goes all out for Christmas. We walked downtown and to the park last weekend and there are Christmas lights everywhere. It is like a Christmas wonderland! The picture above was the bridge going over the river.
These cookies look like my normal double chocolate chunk…but they are gluten-free! I have had a few people email me and ask about gluten-free baking, then my good friend reached out because she can’t eat gluten anymore and was trying to make cookies, but they kept turning out terrible. So, I have been doing some chemistry research and I recreated my normal recipe with gluten-free flour. I am excited that I finally got it to a good mix! Turns out, so many people I run into are desperate for a gluten-free cookie that taste like regular! Tips coming soon 🙂 It is so fun to get to help people with things like this! Chemistry is awesome!
Ruger’s favorite thing ever is getting a new toy in the mail from Chewy.Com! Somehow he always knows it is for him too. This Kong Holiday Jumbler Football is another great, durable toy. He has been running around with it and chewing on it for a week now and it is still holding up!
If you missed my recipe for an easy Skinny Peppermint Mocha, definitely check it out! It is so good for Christmas! If you don’t like peppermint, you can definitely eliminate the extract 🙂 I have made this a few times this week. So good for a pick me up!
Yesterday I made a bunch of sugar cookies and these peanut butter cookie truffles! I also made some dark chocolate, sea salt almond clusters to give out to the neighbors. I love this little heart cookie cutter. I decided to do a bunch of these with some white icing and white sugar crystals.
I can’t believe it is a WEEK until Christmas. How did that happen? If you need some last minute gifts to buy online check out my girly Christmas list and these gifts under $10!
Have a great weekend!

Happy Friday Alexis! You’ve been a very busy lady… LOVE Ruger’s pictures and poses. LOVE sugar cookies! The picture of the lights on the bridge is very beautiful! One more week until Christmas! This weekend agenda (planned): grooming the dog (nails, furry pads), making gifts, wrapping gifts, making cinnamon rolls (my first attempt!), delivering goodies to the Nature Center, and staying dry! Maybe a Hallmark movie or two or three… Hope you have a fabulous one!
