****Most of you have heard about the tragic events in Dallas last Thursday night. I just wanted to write a quick word to say thank you for your prayers and support, it was a sad time in North Texas. Now that my husband works in Law Enforcement, it definitely hit close to home. I love how Texans rise together though and it makes me feel proud how many people support my husband and other law enforcement agents #backtheblue #DFWstrong
Here is what was happening for Chemistry Cachet this week. This week was busy and full of all things summer, July in Full swing for sure!
First off, we bought a watermelon last week and it was the first of the season. It was SO juicy and delicious! Watermelon is one of my favorite sweet treats in the summer.
It was so good, I decided to create something fun with it as you saw on snapchat this week. A few people asked when the recipe was coming to the blog and it looks like it will go live on Monday! Anytime I do ANYTHING with watermelon, Ruger has a fit. He absolutely LOVES watermelon. The minute I get it out, he just dies for a piece. I was working on photos for this drink, and he was right up in everything the entire time 🙂
I have this area behind the pergola that is always shaded and doesn’t grow grass very well. So, I picked up a Boston fern last time I was at the store to keep in the corner. So far, it is doing really well and brightens up that area tremendously! I will share tips soon!
This past weekend we finally built our rustic coffee table! After sharing a little sneak peak on snapchat, everyone wanted to know how we did it! I have had so many requests now, so I will do a blog post soon. We really wanted something bigger, sturdy and more rustic. The other one we had was with us for our entire nine years of marriage! It moved across the country multiple times, was stuck in a storage unit for months, and went through a ton of rain. It was definitely time for a new one.
Speaking of marriage, tomorrow is our NINE year wedding anniversary! I cannot believe that number is even possible! You can read more about our story here 🙂
