Vines and pumpkins chemistrycachet.comHey y’all, happy Friday! Can you believe there is a week until Halloween? This month has just flown by. The last few weeks you have heard me voice my irritations with the HOT weather in Texas, but I am happy to report things have been in the 80s and even 70s this week, plus rain! All good things 🙂 It was so hot the week before, I played around with my favorite pumpkin chai tea recipe and it was a nice treat to have while it was still hot! I plan on making it warm this weekend though…can’t wait!

One of my favorite things this week was watching this little vine (above) grow like crazy in the front yard! We planted some on the side yard, but somehow it started growing here too. It is starting to grow on the Cinderella pumpkin which is awesome. Hopefully it will last through November 🙂

Big beautiful leaf! Happy FallWe went to Target the other day and when we walked out, this HUGE beautiful leaf was just sitting there in the parking lot. We have no idea what tree it came from or anything, but I had to take it! It was literally as big as my leg.

bulldogKeeping it real with this picture…no make up, work clothes, blurry…but Ruger is such a happy boy in this picture! We had to rush him to the vet after he got hurt in the backyard. Somehow he got his big head stuck in the fence and panicked, so he was thrashing his head all around which was cutting up his face. Blood was gushing everywhere, so like a worried mother, I knew we had to take him to the vet. Luckily he didn’t need stitches, just some medicine and shots. He was so happy to be at the vet though, you wouldn’t even know he was hurt. He loves going to the vet… he thinks everyone is there to see him 😉 He is doing much better though!

Bulldog Pumpkin Carving chemistrycachet.comMore pics of Ruger this week because he is the cutest! We got him his own baby pumpkin to carve (haha), and he LOVED it. I have some really cute pics to share next week with this! Follow us on instagram for more too 🙂

2015-10-20 05.30.07You may have seen this on instagram, but I made some amazing donuts this week. I plan on putting them in my November newsletter, so make sure you sign up. Pumpkin Spice Latte donuts that are baked and so easy! I have an addiction to using my doughnut pan! I bough it years ago for my husband, but I think I have used it way more for myself lol. Check out my Strawberry ones and my blueberry muffin donuts too!

I can’t wait to share that recipe with you soon!

What are your plans for the weekend? It’s supposed to rain and be in the 70s, so I am super excited!

Love the pic of you and Ruger! Poor pup getting his head stuck! I would’ve totally freaked out if that happened to my pup. I’m not good in those situations. Glad he’s better now and now stitches were needed! Trish – tales from trish

Glad Ruger is okay! I would definitely freak out too. I’m so glad Starla hasn’t gotten herself hurt or bleeding around me yet. I panic at things like that.

So glad Ruger is ok after this fence incident! Gunner always loves going to the vet too, because everyone fawns over him and he loves the attention. You are the second person I’ve seen get a little pumpkin for their pup – I think I know what I’m doing this weekend!

I’m so glad that Ruger is ok! I didn’t realize that there was another dog out there that loved the vet as much as Dart, but it’s seriously the best thing ever that they love going there! I’m sure that you can relate, but no matter how bad they feel they’re still as happy as can be at the vet.

Aww, glad your little (big!) guy is ok! Pet emergencies are the scariest! Most of my cats hate the vet, but I had one who looooved it, the whole “It is so nice of all of you to come here just to pay attention to me!” thing.

Love that to you cooler weather is 80’s and 70’s! Last weekend for us it was in the 30’s! Luckily, by mid-week it was beautiful and in the low 70’s. Glad to hear Ruger is okay! Poor thing. I have doughnut pans and rarely use them! I need to dust them off and bake something soon. Have a great weekend!
