November RainHello Friday! This whole time change thing has made this week SOOOOO long in my opinion. I am an early riser no matter what, but setting the clocks back mean I am up around 4am. Makes the day so long! Hopefully I adjust soon 😉 This week was full of real life stuff & pretty little things.

We’ve had so much rain lately, all of my flowers are blooming again which I love. I cleaned up the yard and flower beds with my checklist, and it is making everything flourish again. We don’t get a freeze until way later, so I hope to enjoy pretty blooms for longer 🙂

first pumpkin pieMy hubby’s favorite pie this time of year is my pumpkin pie. Due to his health issues, he can’t have any dairy, so I haven’t been able to make the traditional version I usually do with evaporated milk. I’ve been experimenting and came up with a fun dairy free version that actually turned out even more delicious! This was gone in a few days lol. I will post soon, if you need a dairy free pie recipe, let me know 🙂

hidden tree swingMy hidden tree swing has been neglected ever since we built our pergola and porch swing this summer. I swing on that everyday! It was such a pretty, cloudy day yesterday, I popped over to the tree swing! I love how it feels like an enchanted forest!

Real life selfieHere is a total real life selfie…I mean this picture is terrible, my office is messy in every way, I have on no make up, but I love how sweet Ruger is! I was working in the office late and he usually sits by my feet, but he insisted on getting my lap this day. He weighs 80 lbs, so that is no small feat! He sat there and watched me type for at least 20 minutes, it was super sweet! He is such a cuddle bug 🙂 Bulldog’s are crazy, but they sure can make your heart melt. I am in the process of rearranging my office a little bit, but someone I don’t get very far each day! It is part of my checklist though, so it will come together soon!

Soft, chewy oatmeal raisin cranberry cookies on chemistrycachet.comIn case you missed it, I shared the best oatmeal cookie recipe ever on Tuesday. I also shared some of my chemist baking tips to make them absolutely perfect. Yesterday, I started a new series, the first question was where did I learn how to cook?  Oh, and the newsletter comes out next week again! Sign up below for some fun stuff (Pumpkin Spice Latte Donuts & more 😉 )

And because the best season ever is starting, we are giving away a great cash giveaway! There is still some time to enter 🙂 Perfect for Christmas gifts!

Ruger is so cute! I love when my cats curl up in my lap. They’re not 80 pounds though! Love your tree swing! This reminds me that we have to redo our tree swing in our backyard. I can’t wait for Thanksgiving for pumpkin pie! Have a great weekend!

I don’t like to eat dairy either. I feel better when I don’t eat it. I would like to know a dairy free recipe for that pumpkin pie. Ruger is funny. 80 pounds sitting on your lap 🙂 But it’s like you don’t want to move because he is so sweet, right!!

I don’t eat it much either. My husband misses it a lot, but gets deathly ill if he has it, so he has made due without it. I try to come up with fun recipes for him! It is so sweet lol, but he’s so heavy too!

I love candid dog selfies. I took one with Starla the other day and I look awful but she is super happy and licking my face. I’ll definitely need to check out that pie because my mom and aunt are lactose intolerant!
