What a week it has been! Have you noticed that short weeks seem longer? With July 4th on a Monday, this week has definitely felt that way! This week was all about summer days and brunch love on the blog.
We spent the 4th of July at my parents house and enjoyed this view of the pond. Summer days at their place are always beautiful, even when it’s 100+ degrees. I shared a little tour on snapchat on Monday 🙂 If you don’t follow me yet, add me with username alexisroch 🙂
Ruger loves any holiday because it means everyone is together in once place. He loves people! His favorite part of the 4th? All the summer fruit scraps he gets to eat. He is OBSESSED with fruit!
This photo has terrible lighting, but I had to share it with you. It has become a tradition to take a 4th of July photo with Ruger in this same spot. As you can see, he has grown so much over the years. Monday, we could barely pick him up because he is so HUGE. We laughed the entire time, but finally got a picture. He is such a big English Bulldog, it’s crazy!
Mornings are always so pretty in the front yard. A few times this week, it was foggy as the sun was coming up. So peaceful!
In case you missed anything from this week, it was all about our summer brunch series! Tuesday was all about this frozen fruit cake with homemade jam, Wednesday was this sweet potato breakfast hash, and yesterday was all the elements needed for the perfect brunch. Plus, a free menu too! It was such a fun project creating allergy-free foods for everyone to enjoy the perfect brunch!
Monday will be the last post and that is my chocolate donuts!
It is going to be a busy weekend for us, but I am looking forward to it! What are your plans for the weekend?

Love your annual “family picture” – look how Ruger has grown… My parents did the same thing with us 3 kids – of course, my brother, the baby of the family, is 6 ft tall and towers over his 5’4″ and 5’5″ sisters. It looks funny, 45 years later. Enjoy your weekend.
