Friday Favorite - the first one of April!

Happy Friday! The first one of April!

I seriously am BLOWN away that it is already April. Where did March go? I have absolutely no idea!

I haven’t made cookies in ages it seems, but a few friends ordered some for Easter, so I made up a few batches. I shared this white chocolate, dark chocolate specialty cookie on snapchat last week and everyone wanted to know all the details! I will share that soon…but let me tell you, they are amazing! Not my usual healthy dessert option, but a perfect treat!

This weekend on snapchat I have another fun healthy delicious tutorial for you! You can add me with username alexisroch

Friday Favorite - the first one of April!

I am really excited for April’s newsletter that will be coming out any day now. I decided to feature a famous Texas bbq seasoning and technique from a well-known local bbq place. We use it all season long for grilling and it is always so good! My brother is a manager there and he has let me in on some secrets! I also have a fun breakfast recipe to share too. If you don’t get my newsletter you can sign up below 🙂

Friday Favorites - The first one of April!!

I switched to all my spring scents for candles. My friend got me this one a few weeks ago and it smells amazing!! It is really strong too and fills the house with this fruity, summery scent. Another bath and body works one I have been loving is watermelon lemonade and the regular clean linen scent!

Friday Favorites - The first one of April!!

We had more bad storms this week with hail, wind, and flooding. It was really bad on Wednesday, but then this double rainbow popped up! It was so beautiful! My poor tree was ruined from the tornado earlier this month, but it made an interesting addition to the picture. In other news, we will finally be getting our home fixed! It has looked pretty pitiful with all the tarps and ripped up decking!

Friday Favorites - The first one of April!!

I started my new series this week! Chemist Solutions for better, easier living. The first installment was the super simple, really effective microwave cleaner. Next week I am going to be sharing the truth about decaf coffee or tea! Stay tuned for that 🙂 By the way, I just bought these stainless steel straws and I really love them.

In case you missed it, I also shared these fun, grain-free dog birthday cupcakes on Monday! I had to make another batch for Ruger this week….he is obsessed lol

Happy Friday!

Alexis

The rainbow is beautiful and you are correct that the tree does add to it. Hoping that things stay calm for awhile there. Truth be told, I’ve never had decaf coffee but I have tea, looking forward to that post.

Those cookies look delicious! And I need to try that mango candle! My favourite one from B&BW for this time of the year is Leach Bellini. I have a bunch of them stached in my house!

I always forget about Spring scented candles. I typically use my candles only in Winter and Fall but there’s no reason not to keep it up during the warmer months.

I am the same way! I always burn them a ton in winter and fall…but spring scents are good too! I have been trying to keep them lit more and make the house smell amazing 🙂

Happy April Friday Alexis! Love your pictures, especially the double rainbow. Rainbows always reminds me of God’s promises to us, the beauty after the storms, and that He always keeps His promises. So glad your repairs will be starting soon… seems like it’s been forever since that tornado and subsequent storms. Looking forward to your newsletter, bbq seasoning recipe and what other stuff you have in store! Happy weekend! Woof to Ruger!

I kept thinking of God’s promise to never flood the earth again during our recent storm and then the rainbow popped up. So nice!! Happy weekend! Hope you have a wonderful one!

That candle sounds perfect for spring and summer. I’m always rotating out my candles for the different seasons. Sorry to hear about the bad storms. I know how scary those can be but good to hear you’re getting your house fixed. Have a great weekend!

Target has some really great smelling candles this Spring, but I haven’t bought any quite yet. The one you have sounds like it’d smell so deliciously though. Happy Weekend girl.
