A few weeks ago, I shared some things in my gym bag on instagram stories. I had questions about everything, so today we are sharing a post on gym bag essentials for the busy woman!

If you like to head to the gym before work, during work, after work, or even just in the middle of running errands, there are some necessities to keep in your gym bag.

Now that I am a mom, I find myself doing dozens of things after a workout when I have someone watching Amelia.

I love having everything I need in my bag so I am prepared!

Here are some important gym bag essentials!

Gym Bag Essentials For The Busy Woman

A Good Snack

The most essential thing for me when I go to Pilates is having a snack with me! I always end up being hungry afterwards, but don’t have time to get anything. I always keep protein bars and snacks in my bag.

A few of my favorites are:

  • Larabar (especially their fall flavors!!)
  • Rxbars
  • Kind Bars

You can visit this list for more of my favorite snack and protein bars I always have on hand!

Yoga Mat Spray

If I do yoga or Barre, I love keeping this DIY spray in my bag. It is so helpful to keep your mat clean and sanitized. I always keep a bottle of this in my bag! You can use this for so many types of equipment too. I also use this on the yoga block I keep in my car.

FRE Face Cleanser and Moisturizer

This is a question we get often! What is a good cleanser for after a workout?? If you get sweaty like I do, it is important to keep your face clean to prevent breakouts. FRÉ sent me their 3 step kit to try out, and I have really enjoyed it! It is formulated specifically for using after workouts and great for acne prone skin. I always keep this in my gym bag in case I need to wash my face before heading out.

The face cleanser is soft and soothing, but also removes all the sweat. I follow up with the serum and moisturizer. I love the moisturizer because it also contains SPF 30, so it is a great option for using before heading outside.

These products are good even for those who don’t workout too. If you would like to try them out, be sure to head to my landing page.

Grip Socks

If you are a Barre or yoga person, I highly recommend keeping a pair of grip socks in your bag. I started using these socks for Pilates, but they are also great for mat workouts. If you don’t like to be barefoot or need more of a grip, these are great socks. They are helpful for preventing falls or slips on slick surfaces too. My Pilates Studio, The FIT Lounge, has an awesome selection of socks. I also love these from Amazon!

Hand Sanitizer

Along with the DIY Yoga Mat spray we have listed above, I like to keep hand sanitizer too. With flu season approaching, it is so important to keep your hands clean! Ideally, I wash my hands after a workout, but if I don’t have time, I use some hand sanitizer. I keep this DIY bottle in my gym bag!

Grip Gloves

My hands were starting to get rough and worn out from gripping the handles in Pilates, so I bought these gloves to keep in my gym bag. They have been so helpful! These are great for weight lifters, Pilates, or any type of workout where you need to hold onto something with your hands. If you have weak fingers like I do, they help your grip as well.

Portable Water Bottle

I like to keep a portable water bottle in my gym bag. One that is smaller and easy to carry, so I don’t have to lug around a big water bottle. I keep this one in my bag. I keep my yeti filled with ice water and keep that in the car, but it is too big and bulky to carry around. A portable bottle is handy and quick for a gym bag!

Copper Joint Brace

I have mentioned this elbow brace before, but I always keep it in my gym bag in case my joint starts acting up. I love this one, and think it is a great option for any type of pain you might have. They make them for other joints too, but the elbow one is the one I use. You can get them for knees, ankles, or wrists. Keeping a joint brace like this on hand is a great option for your gym bag!

I hope you enjoyed this easy and simple list of gym bag must haves for her. Even though it is not many items, it can make a big difference for your workouts and leaving the house. Keeping your skin happy and your body healthy is always important!
