Bulldog Pumpkin for Halloween chemistrycachet.comAnd just like that…Halloween is over and it is November! I shared some really special, memorable Halloween experiences with you last week, so I thought it would be fun to share with you the new memories! This year was extra festive because we actually had cooler weather, with a ton of rain! It made for a mystical, traditional Halloween! As Winifred Sanderson would say, “It’s just a bunch of hocus pocus!”

Pumpkin carving is an annual tradition for us and we spent all Friday evening carving, watching our favorite movies and eating kettle corn! My husband decided to do a bulldog and I am literally blown away by how awesome he did!! Mine was more basic…

It's just a bunch of Hocus Pocus

It's just a bunch of hocus pocus and bulldogs! You know how Ruger is addicted to pumpkin? Well, he spent most of the evening licking our jack o lanterns! Halloween dawned rainy, misty and cloudy which created the perfect ambiance. It cleared up a little though, which was perfect for the trick or treaters!

My neighborhood is such a fun place to be for Halloween. I talked about how people drive from all over to walk around for candy, and this year was even more epic. We had people parked all up and down our road and everywhere you could see where kids in costume. Just like on Hocus Pocus! It was so fun! We have to buy a ton of candy to keep up with everyone.

Halloween and Hocus PocusIt's just a bunch of Hocus Pocus! chemistrycachet.comLast year Ruger was a pumpkin, but he was WAY to big to fit into that costume again. I revealed his costume in my October Newsletter (which comes out again soon!!! Sign up below 🙂 ). He was a Dallas Cowboy! (and totally not happy about it lol).

dallas cowboyI couldn’t get a picture of him with my real camera because he was way too excited about all the trick or treaters, so I snapped this with my phone. Believe it or not, this is was my jersey a few years back when Marian Barber still played for Dallas. It was pretty tight around his shoulders…let’s be honest, he is bigger than me!

We ended the night with some hot chocolate, cozy blankets, candles and movies! I can’t believe it is now November, but I am also so excited! The holiday season is upon us now! I have some really fun stuff coming up over the next few months that I can’t wait to share!

To celebrate the month of November, I teamed up with some bloggers for a really special and fun giveaway. I love contributing to these giveaways because they are such great products and it totally brightens up someone’s day when they win 🙂

This Kate Spade Wristlet in a chic green is so adorable! It’s big enough to hold a phone, small enough to wear on your wrist as a wallet or even a small clutch.  Just remember, we do verify entries and if you enter, you must live in the United States (I know! It’s sad but shipping is just an issue). I can’t tell you how excited I am that someone is going to own this!katespademintgiveaway

That’s crazy that you had so many people stop by your house for trick or treating! We had more than last year, but still not as many as my husband expected (which is why we have lots of leftover candy!). Ruger was so cute in his costume, even if he was a Dallas Cowboy 😉

My husband always over estimates on the candy too! We have a ton leftover! Thank you 🙂 He is a cutie pie!

Happy November Alexis… How can it be, already? Had our first big rain storm overnight. Causes havoc with my job (electrical), but… I LOVED the pumpkin carving of Ruger on IG – how skilled/creative was your husband. Your pumpkin was great, too. And what a cutie Ruger is in his jersey. We don’t participate in Halloween, so we turned off the doorbell, and went downstairs to watch TV and hang out. We all went to bed fairly early – and dealt with the time change issue. Gearing up for the last 2 months of 2015… it will go fast! Enjoy!

He is definitely creative about that kind of stuff! The time change has been rough for me, I am one of those weird one’s who has trouble sleeping in lol. Have a great day!

We didn’t get any people trick or treating. We laughed and said we wondered if word got out in the neighborhood that we have a crazy dog 🙂 She is very friendly but has an intimidating bark. Ruger looks good as a Cowboy. We were going to put a Sabres jersey on Cocoa 🙂

OMG, I can’t with your dog in the football jersey! SO stinkin cute!! I actually just tried leaving a comment on your pumpkin post because my dog loves it, too, and I never thought to give him a whole one to just chew through (at least a little). I imagine it must be good for their teeth! And Buster loves anything crunchy, especially fruits/veggies (carrots and apples are his favorite) 🙂

    Hi Alexis,

Reading about your Halloween and seeing those pictures, especially the bull dog carved pumpkin was alot of fun, I’m glad I came over from The Wednesday Showcase. Your title grabbed me, I recognized it right away from one of my favorite Halloween movies. Blessings. Hope you could check out my blog sometime, especially the post below.

    Blessings to you.

Your dog is so cute! I wish I could get my dog to wear a costume for Halloween but she wants nothing to do with that! Thanks for sharing at the Home Matters Linky Party!
