Friday Favorites - Last Weekend in My 20s

This is a pretty monumental weekend…it is my last weekend in my 20’s!

Yep, on Tuesday I will turn 30. It still hasn’t sunk in quit yet, but I am working on it. To celebrate this, my two best friends from childhood and I are going skating on Saturday. Exactly 20 years ago I turned 10 years old and we went skating then, so we thought it would be perfect. Follow me on snapchat (or add with username alexisroch) and Instagram to join us 🙂

I love my Valentine’s Day flowers this year. They were red roses and had a little tropical flare to them with some greenery. This was my husband’s and my 11th Vday together!

Our first one was in 2006 when I was living in a dorm room. I HATED Valentine’s Day and thought it was a joke. We had been dating only a few months and he was stationed in Florida…800 miles away. Well, he surprised me with a huge bouquet of pink roses at my dorm room that morning. His card said “Valentine’s Day isn’t so bad when someone loves you”

I will always remember that 🙂

You can read our other Vday memory here!

And see how to keep your Valentine’s Day flowers alive for longer here with my favorite chemist tips!

Ruger has started sleeping like this almost everyday. He smashed his head between his paws…

Friday Favorites - Last Weekend in My 20s

I roast cauliflower, among other vegetables, every week. I always show it on shapchat and everyone wants to know how I do it. This is the same recipe I shared on IG a few weeks ago. It is so easy!

Drizzle a small amount of olive oil on a pan and spread around, lay the thin sliced cauliflower on top. Drizzle with a little more olive oil, sprinkle with pink salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and a few dashes of cayenne. Bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes or until completely tender. I do NOT stir it anytime, I love when the bottoms get crispy. It reminds me of french fries!

Friday Favorites - Last Weekend in My 20s

Readers have already said so many good things about this sugar scrub from Monday. I have really been using it so much with this winter weather being all over the place. My skin has been so dry! This green tea and rose scrub is perfect for that! Definitely try it out!

I ordered some new business cards that came in this week! I love the way they turned out!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

I turned 30 too way back in 1992, but in my head I still think I am on my 20’s although some days my body feels like it was around in the 20’s, my knees are shocking and getting in and out of the car is an effort and not pretty to see but I guess such is life we live we age we die not that I want to die any time soon even my mum will tell you she wants to be around for another 20 years

Lola sleep like that too and it’s so cute how their wrinkles get squished up. I love it! Happy birthday and congrats on hitting the big 3-0. The thirties have been some of my best years so I don’t think you have anything to worry about. Also I just bought all the ingredients to make the tea scrub so I’ll be experimenting with that very soon!

Their wrinkles are so cute! I have heard the 30s are not bad, so I am happy to hear that 🙂 I hope you enjoy making that scrub. I use it everyday and just love it!
