Today, we have a list of some very luxurious overnight masks that work while you sleep!
More and more readers have been sending me messages about high end or luxurious brands, and if these brands are worth the high price. I love to test out ALL types of skincare. Affordable, simple, DIY, and also more expensive options.
Sometimes, expensive brands are not worth the money. Other times, the ingredients are powerful and potent, so they can be worth the price.
I have been using these overnight sleeping creams and masks the entire year, now we can finally share our favorites with you!
These make great gifts for anyone who loves skincare, but they are also a nice treat for yourself too 🙂
6 Luxurious Overnight Masks That Work While You Sleep
Many of these have popped up on Chemistry Cachet in different articles. A recent one was incredible hydration products for dry skin. You will see a few of those in this list too!
Peter Thomas Roth Rose Face Mask ($55)
My favorite luxury mask would be this one from Peter Thomas Roth. The rose stem technology is amazing! This mask can be used for 10-15 minutes OR overnight. I have been using it overnight, and my skin is so bright and tight when I wake up. Unfortunately, it is out of stock EVERYWHERE! I bought it here from Amazon, but it is out of stock on their website too. Keep an eye out in case it comes back in stock. I would highly recommend it! The science is there for how well it works, and it also smells wonderful!
Since the above one is out of stock, you can also try this Peter Thomas Roth 24k Gold Mask ($72). This one is more expensive then the one above, but it is also an incredible mask option! I used a 24K gold mask in this post, and I loved how well it tightened my skin. This is good for maturing skin. I wanted to throw this one in here although it isn’t as much of an overnight mask. This is a very potent product, and you will see noticeable results even after one use.
Tula Overnight Skin Rescue Cream ($64)
This is more of an overnight cream, but it works like a face mask! I have absolutely loved using this! The combination of probiotics, AHA’s and Vitamin C is incredible for your skin. Each morning when I wake up, I notice a difference in the brightness of my skin. It looks brighter and fuller. I have been using this product for about 6 months, and I still have half the jar left. I rotate this out with others, but a little goes a long way. You can use it a few times per week!
Watermelon Sleep Mask ($49)
This is everyone’s favorite mask and continues to be part of my repertoire. You can lather this one after your nightly skincare and sleep in it. When you wake up, rinse it, and your skin will be so smooth! The secret is in the AHA’s (alpha hydroxy acids) and hyaluronic acid. It replenishes and exfoliates skin cells.
Elemis Overnight Plumping Pillow Facial ($65)
Many readers have asked me about this brand. It is very popular among blogger’s, so I have been testing out many of these products. This overnight sleeping facial is amazing! It uses peptide4 advanced molecular biology to plump skin while you sleep. I really enjoy rotating this luxurious mask at night! I also love how thick it feels.
Good Science Beauty Hydrating Face Mask ($55)
I was excited to see one of my favorite luxury brands came out with an overnight face mask (discount code chemistrycachet30)! We shared this post many years ago about how GSB works, and these face masks have the same technology. It works while you sleep to deliver deep hydration. I love using this every few nights. When I wake up, I rinse my face, and my skin is SOOO smooth.
Wild Rose & Vitamin C Sleeping Facial ($48)
I ran out of this overnight mask earlier in the year, and I miss using it! I need to get some more to rotate in my skincare again. First, it smells wonderful. Second, it works so well. The combination of wild rose oil and vitamin C work together for skin brightening, tightening, and smoothing. Something I noticed using this every night was my dark circles looked lighter too. I used this same jar for over a year because you don’t need much at all!
Here are some FAQs regarding face masks we have had readers ask over the years.
I thought this next section might be helpful for you! Here are some commonly asked questions on using overnight face masks.
Do you wash off overnight masks?
The last time we shared a skincare post, multiple readers asked this question. The answer to this is yes! Sleep masks are designed to work while you sleep, but need to be washed off. This doctor mentions leaving a sleep mask on can lead to potential breakouts. They are meant to provide hours of potent hydration or anti-aging benefits, but just like a regular mask, it needs to be cleansed off in the morning for best results.
Do overnight masks work?
I actually prefer overnight masks to just using them 10 minutes. It allows the product to work in your skin for many hours, so you will get the full benefit. I have tried many masks that had no results, but the ones in this post have made a noticeable difference to my skin the next day. Especially tightening, brightening, and hydrating.
Can all masks be used overnight?
No! Make sure you read the label. Many masks will say it can be used overnight if it is safe to do so. Anything that is for pores, acne, or something strong, is usually jut a short time use. Always double check the label on your products to be sure.
I hope this is helpful for you! And I hope you can find a new face mask to try out. The best thing about using a luxury brand like one of these products is they last a long time. Just a little product goes a long way. Many of these I will have for an entire year of use!

All these products are in tubs. What are your thoughts on them losing potency due exposure? Do you think that after 6 months there is significant degradation? Thanks!
Alexis says
The benefit of using a store-bought product verses something DIY is they do last a long time even with opening the jar every night. They are formulated with buffers to keep potency. I have used a few of these products for a over a year, and they are still working great. I believe most cosmetic companies give products a one year shelf life after opening. If you make a homemade solution, it will only be good for a few weeks to a month since it won’t contain any additional chemistry to preserve it. I hope this helps! Great question!
