Make use of flowers this spring with some fun, floral inspired ideas!

After a cold and dreary winter, nothing is more special and beautiful to see than the blooming of spring flowers. As the weather warms up and people come out of their hibernation, flowers are also coming out of the ground and saying hello to the sunshine.

This spring, make use of these beautiful pieces of nature to give a vibrant and fresh feel to your life.

Flowers are so versatile and they can be used in so many ways, from decorations to gifts to beauty accessories! Let out your inner DIY-er and see how creative you can get with spring flowers. Here are some ideas to get you started.

Make A DIY Floral Air Freshener

One of our top favorite homemade recipes on Chemistry Cachet is this DIY Floral Air Freshener! So fun to make in the spring.

Utilize Rose Petals

Save rose petals from your garden or bouquets for a really fun project. We have a fun post on things you can do with leftover rose petals you can check out!

Wash Your Face With Floral Based Face Wash

The power of flowers for cleansing your face is something you can make use of this spring. One of my favorite face washes has the active ingredients Ylang-Ylang Flower Oil which balances sebum production and has a sweet floral fragrance as well as Rose Flower Oil which rich in antioxidants and has antimicrobial properties. You can even get it for 40% off using code alexisroch at checkout. This is a code specific to Chemistry Cachet, so take advantage of any of their products 🙂

This face wash even smells like lovely, and makes your face SO soft!

Host a Floral Theme Party

Who doesn’t love an outdoor spring picnic or a summer pool party? Host a get-together with all of your friends and easily make it the most beautiful party of the year with these floral ideas.

Make small and delicate napkin rings from fresh flowers to give each place setting a pretty touch. This project is super simply and you can be so creative in how you arrange the flowers. Nobody will want to use their napkins because of how beautiful they look!

For your first pool party of the year, make a floating flower wreath. This will float along the top of the pool giving your party a unique touch. People can use it as a life-size frame to take pictures with, which is a really big hit at parties right now! You can make these as big or as little as you want and they can take any shape. Make a bunch of them to fill the pool with natural decorations.

For centerpieces at your tables, there are so many things you can do with flowers. Find old bird cages at an antique shop and put a pot of flowers inside so that the flowers end up popping out of the bird cage. For a subtle look, arrange flowers in a small teacup in the center of each table for a small but beautiful touch.

Floral Themed Baby Shower and Nursery

I thought I would add this in to go along with floral parties. My baby shower for Amelia was a garden, floral theme and it was so sweet! She was born in April, so the baby shower was in March. It was early spring, and the perfect theme. I even did her nursery in floral theme. So many great ideas for this!

Make Some Homemade Floral Gifts

If you aren’t hosting a party, but are attending one this spring, these ideas are perfect gifts for the hostess or the honoree of the party!

For the book lover in your life, a flower pressed bookmark is a useful and gorgeous gift. You can press the flowers in whatever arrangement you like and create a work of art that the receiver will love.

Try framing a picture of you and the guest of honor in a wooden picture frame that you’ve decorated with flowers and twigs from the garden. This will be a rustic and nature inspired gift that will add personality to an otherwise common picture frame.

DIY Beauty Product With A Flower Theme

How about a DIY beauty product that will pamper your friend? Flowers make great additions to many DIY body scrubs, bath bombs, hair masks and more! These DIY beauty recipes are perfect because they are made with natural ingredients and the flowers give added benefits that store-bought items just don’t have. You may even want to save a little for yourself!

Use flowers in your hair

Flower crowns have become a big trend in the past year or so, but there are other creative ways to wear flowers in your hair without going too overboard.

If you wear your hair in a bun often, try making this flower bun wrap that adds a colorful to touch to your hair. This is perfect for summer weddings and would look great on bridesmaids!

Or, make this lovely floral comb that you can display on your vanity or wear in your hair! This adds a nice touch to any hairstyle and you can make multiple combs for yourself with different colored flowers and arrangements that will go with any style.

Why not do your hair and makeup in a mirror surrounded by fresh flowers? Take any mirror to the next level by adding flowers all around the frame. You were already gorgeous, but this will have you feeling like a princess.

Or you can be like my sweet daughter and just put fresh flowers in your hair everyday in the spring. She loves flowers!

These DIY ideas to use spring flowers this season will get you inspired to head outside and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. There’s nothing better than spring flowers and warm weather, so make the most of it with these unique and pretty ideas!
