Remembering on Memorial Day

I have always felt weird hearing people wishing each other Happy Memorial Day. Memorial Day is a day of remembrance of those who lost their lives in service.

I think it’s important to observe this day, and I hope you have some time off today for it 🙂

This website has some neat history on Memorial Day.

Enjoy your day! See you back here tomorrow!

I enjoyed the Memoerial Day website. Neat historical info. So grateful for those who serve and put their lives on the line for our country.

I can see how it would be weird to say or hear Happy Memorial Day. It’s definitely a day of remembrance, but I think having “happy” in it can be a good reminder of all that we have today because of those we lost.

I come from a military family and have even had those lost in action, so it’s more of a Remembrance Day. I think people should definitely enjoy their holiday off, but just remember the meaning of it.
