Today we are sharing the most popular readers products from 2024.

I am a little late on this, but I love looking back to see what the most popular reader products were on Chemistry Cachet from the previous year.

It is really helpful to see what was most popular for readers so I can make sure to focus more on those ideas and share more tips that readers will enjoy.

Most Popular Reader Products From 2024

Not only were these top sellers, I also had the most positive feedback on every product listed below. Emails, comments, and messages about how much a reader loved them. I received dozens of messages about the Vitamin C serum listed in this post, I even had a reader tell me she completely transformed her skin with it, then purchased it for her mom, sister, and daughter to start using.

I love stories like that! Feel free to always email me or comment on your success with something 🙂

Although we had dozens of articles go viral and hundreds of popular products, these were the top sellers I wanted to share.

This Citric Acid

For several years now, this is the most popular cleaning product. I buy this one on Amazon and it lasts forever.

You find this ingredient in our toilet cleaner recipe, DIY refrigerator cleaner, and it is the featured product in our citric acid cleaning post. SO many uses!

10% VC-IP (Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate) Vitamin C Serum

This advanced form of Vitamin C (code alexisroch for 40% off) remains in skin cells up to 80 times longer than L-ascorbic acid and has 4 times the effect on skin.

Readers say it is their number one skincare product now. It is soft, velvety, with a matte texture working like a pore blurring product. You will have guaranteed brighter, smoother, softer skin after just a few weeks.

This has been a popular product for several years with our readers, but this past year it has been even more popular making the top list of products. You can eliminate many products when you add this into your routine. Check out this detailed scientific post we did covering this VC-IP serum to learn how it works. Buy it here and use the discount code alexisroch at checkout to save money. One bottle will last several months too, so it breaks down to just $25  a month when you use Chemistry Cachet’s exclusive code. That is a great deal on a good quality product, chemist approved 🙂

Dirty Labs Dishwashing Detergent

This is the second most popular Amazon product we have shared! I personally love it best out of all the brands we tested, but readers have loved it just as much.  If you would like to read the original post where it was featured, please visit this article.

Tru Earth Laundry Detergent Sheets

Another popular post we did last year was testing out non-toxic laundry detergent options. My personal favorite are the Tru Earth Detergent Strips, and they are readers favorites too! This is the third most popular Amazon item. Original post can be found here if you would like to read more.

Mushroom Funnel

I thought this funnel was so cute, so I bought it a few years ago. I use it all the time due to how handy and flexible it is. I featured this in a few of my DIY cleaners last year, and everyone LOVED it! It is one of our top sellers as well.

Overnight Plumping Facial

Just a heads up, whenever I share this item (code alexisroch for 40% off), it sells out. This is the second most popular skincare product from last year (the first is the vitamin C). Why does everyone love this?? It works SO well, and it will last 3 months or more since you use it every other day at night. The 40% off code makes this just $35 total. It lasts around 3 months so that means it costs $11.67 a month! Perfect time to stock up.  The combination of sea buckthorn oil, peptides, and prebiotics make this not only brighten and hydrate skin at night, but it plumps wrinkles too. Readers have loved it since I shared the original post. You can view that post here if you would like to read more about how it works.

Portable Upholstery Cleaner

I did an IG reel over this one, and it really got popular. I have shared it for several years, and it is one of my favorite housekeeping purchases. It keeps my dining room chairs, couch, and recliner so clean and fresh. Plus, it stores easy without taking up much space!

So many readers have purchase it over the years, but last year it was even more popular. The price on it has gone down over the last year too. The best part, it is small and easy to store. I think this is why it has been so popular over the years.

Wall Mop and Broom Organizer

This organizer was also very popular with readers! Our blog post with affordable organizing items that have made a difference ended up going viral, but at the mop and broom organizer was definitely the most popular item on the list.

Shop More Of Our Favorites

While this is a very small list compared to all the fantastic items we have purchased and tested over the years, you can find more of my favorite housekeeping and skincare items in our amazon shop! I have spent so much time curating our amazon shop to have the best products in all categories, things I have personally tried and loved.

Also, make sure you follow and subscribe to our IG content. I share so many great tips and products on IG stories and reels. And subscribe to our newsletter which comes out just once per month.

I can’t wait to see what our readers love for 2025! Stay tuned for more great content!

Aww that is so wonderful to hear! I completely agree, it is really crazy how powerful it works. I plan to do a blog post specifically on how it works because it has been so popular.

Have you ever made DIY facial creams using tallow? And what do you think about this? I love Fre products but they sometimes don’t fit into my budget.

Hi Terry! Thanks for your comment and concerns. I am very passionate about skincare and the DIY skincare subject, so this comment is a little long 🙂 But I think it deserves a proper explanation…

I actually spent several years trying to go the DIY skincare route as a chemist, I tested many recipes, methods, and wanted to go that route in the skincare field. From my personal experience, I started suffering from excessive eczema and breakouts. I also wasn’t getting the anti-aging results I needed. Also from a scientific standpoint, DIY skincare lacks the rigorous testing and quality control of professionally formulated products. This can lead to inconsistent results, potential contamination, and even skin irritation due to improper ingredient combinations or concentrations.

There are a few DIY skincare products I do love and use (lip scrub, caffeinated oil, and homemade hand soap), but for face creams, I have to stick with formulated and tested creams to get the proper, safe results. I have found I save money using good quality skincare which lasts longer and works better than some cheaper things or DIY treatments.

With that being said, I am currently testing and working on a post specifically about beef tallow for skincare as it has become a very popular subject and it is often misunderstood on what it can really achieve. I use beef tallow for my lips, but many readers have asked me to do a specific post on it, so that should be ready in the next few weeks.

I am on a budget as well, so I try to stock on my favorite skincare when it is a good sale and I only use a few products at the same time. I hope this explanation helps you! But please feel free to reach out or ask any other questions 🙂
