In this list you will find some of my absolute favorite products I use each season, but I also have some handy tools that are new you don’t want to miss.

As a chemist, I love good science-based cleaning hacks and tips, but I also love smart and handy tools that save you time around the home.

5 Must-Have Spring Cleaning Products From A Chemist

Mesh Screen Cleaner

Every spring, I take time to clean windows and screens. Cleaning the screens is tricky because even my vacuum cleaner doesn’t get all the dust and dirt off. But this little mess screen cleaner works SO well and will quickly get the dust and grime off window screens.

You can pair this with our homemade outdoor window cleaner for really clean windows this spring.

A Jar Of Pink Stuff

I talk about this all the time, but it is a must for spring cleaning needs. The dirtiest bath tubs, shower doors, and sinks will sparkle with this pink scrub. It is only $5.97 a jar too! It will last you many months or more.

You can see the best transformation on a dirty glass shower door using the Pink Stuff in our glass shower door cleaning hacks.

New Package of Microfiber Cleaning Cloths

If your microfiber is loosing its luster and texture, grab a new package for spring cleaning. I finally bought some new microfiber cloths. The amount of things you can clean with just a microfiber cloth is so handy. Not only is this the perfect spring cleaning must have, but it will really transform almost any surface. Use it for dusting, cleaning counters, or furniture.

Head over to this post on cleaning with microfiber to learn ways to use it dry or damp. I have had my previous ones for 9 years, they are well worth the purchase.

Upholstery Cleaner (Good For Rugs Too)

This little portable upholstery cleaner is a spring cleaning genius. I use it to clean all of the fabrics on my chairs, couches, and dining room furniture. But did you know you can use it for rugs and carpets too? I just spring cleaned the rugs in my bathroom. I used my upholstery cleaner to get stains out quickly. They look great!

I use this upholstery cleaner carpet stains, rug stains, and upholstery. It is so versatile and stores easily due to its small size.

Washing Machine & Dishwasher Deep Cleaner

If you regularly wash the inside of your washing machine and dishwasher, spring is a great time to deep clean it as well. I have been using the Oh Yuck dishwasher cleaner and washing machine cleaner. This not only cleans up build up, mold, or odor, but it will help your machine run more efficiently. Especially the dishwasher.

This brand uses a combination of citric acid, surfactants, and enzymes to break down build up in your machines. The science-based ingredients back it work SO well.

Definitely a must have for your spring cleaning.

In Conclusion:

You’re now equipped with the five must-have spring cleaning tools: microfiber cloths, mesh screen cleaner, an upholstery cleaner, an enzymatic cleaner, and the amazing Pink Stuff. These tools, when used strategically, will make short work of spring’s accumulated grime. Remember, a clean home is a healthier home, and these tools will make your job even easier.

As a chemist, I really love to choose cleaning products with scientific formulations. By combining good tools with science-backed cleaning solutions, you’re not just cleaning, you’re applying practical chemistry to create a truly refreshed space. Happy spring cleaning!
