I am happy to say we are seeing some November vibes in Texas, finally! The weather has been in the 70s, with some clouds and rain. October was so hot, I even handed out Halloween candy in shorts and flip flops lol. But now we can finally enjoy some fall weather and the leaves are starting to really turn too!
Since it has been rainy this week, we’ve spent most of our time inside. Ruger has a window in the living room he is OBSESSED with. He will spend hours just staring out the window, watching the cows in particular. He would much rather be playing in the mud, but he will settle for a window view. I am used this DIY dog wipes every single day this week on his paws….so much mud! If you missed that post on Tuesday and have dogs, definitely check it out. It has been a life saver!

We had an FAQ post up yesterday on the blog. I haven’t done one in awhile, and many of these questions I get all the time. And we did a little update to the about section! My husband does so much work behind the scenes, and I wanted to talk a little about his unique story and background. Right now, he is working on AN EPIC gift list for men. I am talking tools, outdoors, sports, and everything in between. He has been working really hard on picking out the best products. IF you have a guy to buy for, but don’t have a clue, this list will help! It will be up next week 🙂
I would also like to say Happy Veteran’s day to all those who have served our country! This was a picture of me pinning my husband to sergeant in the Marine Corps MANY years ago (6 years!). We look so young, but I felt so honored to get to pin his rank on.

We just got the fall weather this week here in Georgia, too! It’s been so freaking warm, so it’s finally settling between mid-40s (early morning) and mid-70s.
It’s such a relief to finally feel cooler weather! We are getting down into the high 50s in the morning and it is so exciting lol!
It’s definitely exciting! I’m so glad to get to pull out some sweaters.

I love the photo of your pinning your husband. I worked as a civilian for the military as my career and went to many pinning ceremonies. It still takes my breath away to see it. I have such a respect for those who serve in the military. My husband and son were both in the Air Force. I remember sitting at my desk at the Air Force Base hearing the F-16’s fly over and my boss the Major would say “Jets, the sound of freedom”. It got me every time.
