Pumpkin is not only the quintessential fall food, but it also is so beneficial for your skin! Try some of these pumpkin base skincare products this autumn (or anytime of year) for bright, healthy skin!

Pumpkin is good for your skin all year long, but I love really harnessing the autumn season by bringing pumpkin back into my skincare routine.

Be sure to read past the products to learn how to use these properly to get the most benefit out of them!

The Benefits Of Pumpkin For Your Skin

Pumpkin enzymes are good for your skin, and show up in many skincare products due to how well it brightens your skin.

Not only that, but pumpkins are high in vitamin C. Check out this in-depth post we did on all the chemistry and benefits of pumpkin.

Pumpkin in your skincare brightens dull skin, shrinks pores, helps with acne, and dry skin too.

The Best Pumpkin Based Skincare Products

Here is a list of my favorite  products I have used over the last several years. I have tried dozens and dozens of them, but I was most impressed with these below.

Bliss Pumpkin Powerhouse

Bliss Pumpkin Powerhouse is a creamy, more gentle solution. I love the smell of this one, but it also has a great texture! It is very affordable too. This won’t isn’t as strong as the others mentioned in this post, but it is still a great pumpkin addition to your skincare routine. I noticed most the brightening aspect using this mask.

DRMTLGY Pumpkin Enzyme Mask

The DRMTLGY Pumpkin Enzyme Mask is awesome! It is very creamy too. When you first put this on, it has a slight heating feeling as the enzymes start to work. It goes away after a few minutes. This one is great for brightening, tightening, and helping with dark spots. It also contains vitamin E and jojoba beads, so it will leave your skin soft and moisturized. It smells great too!

Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Mask

Peter Thomas Roth masks are my favorite, and I think this is the most potent one of the pumpkin masks in this post. It brightens and tightens your skin really well after each use!

Purlisse Pumpkin & Ginger Charcoal Mask

This one deep cleans your pores really well, and also exfoliates. It is more of a scrub to me and works like a charcoal mask with the added benefits of the pumpkin.

Pumpkin Seed Oil

You can also get pumpkin seed oil which has numerous benefits like pumpkin, but it can be used in so many ways! You can use this as a carrier oil, directly on your skin, or even for your hair. Pumpkin seed oil is a common hair care treatment for nourishing and hair loss. Read more about using this for your hair in this Healthline article.

How To Use These Pumpkin Based Skincare Products:

One of the top questions we get after publishing a skincare post is how to use the products? For face masks including the ones in this post, you always want to use one after washing your face. I use a face mask 2-3 days a week (not including products called overnight face masks). Most face masks say on the label to use no more than 2-3 days per week also. Once you rinse off your mask (usually 10-15 minutes), then you apply your skincare regularly. You can read this post we did several years ago on how to apply skincare products step by step.

Many readers also ask if these should be used morning or night? I use most face masks at night, but these pumpkin masks are great to use in the morning too because they firm and brighten your skin so well. It can be beneficial for the rest of the day. You can use them either time though. Whenever you have the most free time.

What About The Pumpkin Seed Oil?

For oils, they are great to add on top of your skin after moisturizer. Oils are best when you use them as the last step in your skincare routine.

I hope you enjoyed this post today! Pumpkin is so great for your skin, and you can see benefits after using products like this just once. Bright, tight, and smooth skin all season long 🙂
