There are two things every girl wants (needs!) each fall…a pumpkin spice latte and/or a pumpkin chai tea in some form! I love both equally and once October hits, I am in the kitchen mixing up my own version!
I like to make my drinks at home because I can control what I put in there, plus it is so much more affordable (especially when you want one everyday 😉 ). Anyways, this is a fall version of my vanilla chai tea frap I posted earlier in the summer! This one can be hot or cold and is ready in less than 5 minutes!
I made this iced since it is still in the high 90s here in Texas, but I can’t wait to have this hot on a crisp autumn day! If you are more of a coffee fan, check out this easy crockpot pumpkin latte!
Pumpkin Chai Tea in Less Than 5 Minutes!
- 2 tea bags (I used chai and pumpkin spice from this list)
- 1/4 cup pumpkin spice eggnog (this stuff is AMAZING, if you don’t have it use additional milk or creamer)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 2 packets stevia
- 1 tbsp pumpkin puree
- 1/2 tsp pumpkin spice extract
- Optional: If you are feeling really crazy, add 1 tbsp of pumpkin spice creamer 😉
- For the cold version: 2 cups of ice
Directions:
Brew the 2 tea bags in 8 oz of boiling water. This will make it really strong like a tea concentrate.
For the HOT version: Add all the other ingredients to a bowl and stir together. Warm slightly in the microwave or on the stove top, combine with the hot tea. This can make a huge serving, or a few regular.
For the COLD version: Let the tea cool, then add all the ingredients to a blender with two cups of ice, blend until smooth!
Tip: This pumpkin spice eggnog is so rich in flavor! If you don’t have it, I would try using pumpkin spice creamer of some kind to keep the flavor rich. You can definitely sub additional almond milk though!
I actually prefer this recipe to Starbucks since it is so much healthier and lower in sugar. Some places make them way to sweet for me! If you love it super sweet, add another packet of stevia 🙂

I need to add these to my grocery list. At work they picked up a pumpkin chai tea mix from Trader joes and it was seriously just pumpkin flavored hot water. So gross.
Alexis says
I have tried that and it is so nasty! I also tried a Starbucks brand one and it was so full of sugar! You will like this one!

It taste like a milk shake! Very creamy and delicious! This stuff only had 5 grams of sugar which is considerably lower than regular, so I love it 🙂
Hil says
We don’t have that eggnog here. The US gets so much cooler food than we do!
Alexis says
That is such a bummer! You can make your own, I will post a recipe for that soon 🙂 It is basically just like a delicious milk shake…I like it without eggs!
