Quick Frozen Caramel Coffee you can whip up in minutes! And bonus, it's really low in calories! on chemistrycachet.com

Last week I shared my Iced Coconut Green Tea which was the first official post for my drink series. Today I decided to share with you one of my favorite, easy to make coffee recipes. If you remember from my last coffee post, found here, I can only drink cold coffee in the afternoons! So, the chemist in me has been experimenting in the kitchen to bring you a really awesome, cold caffeine boost 🙂

I have some frozen coffee recipes in my repertoire that involve actually freezing the coffee, then blending. I love doing that too, but I very rarely remember to freeze my coffee hours before I need it. So, I came up with a quicker way to achieve a nice frozen, frothy coffee boost!

Quick Frozen Caramel Coffee

♥ 8 oz of very strong coffee (I used 8 oz of water with 2 big tsp of instant)**
♥ 1/2 cup almond milk
♥2 tsp caramel extract**
♥2 packets of truvia (or sweetener of your choice, feel free to add more or less depending on sweetness preference)
♥ 1-2 cups of ice
♥ Optional: 1/2 cup salted caramel arctic zero (or any frozen caramel ice cream/frozen yogurt)

Blend everything except the optional frozen treat. If choosing the 1/2 cup of frozen caramel treat, add that to your glass first, slightly thawed. Fill up the rest of your cup with frozen coffee. Obviously, that part is optional!

** Chemist Notes → Make sure you use very strong coffee to keep a nice rich flavor. Extract is a fantastic way to add different flavors to almost anything. I have a plethora of extracts in my kitchen for everything from baking to drinks to cooking. This is my favorite caramel extract : Watkins Caramel Extract It has a nice smooth flavor!

Quick Frozen Caramel Coffee you can whip up in minutes! And bonus, it's really low in calories! on chemistrycachet.comI love Arctic Zero for an easy, healthy treat that is dairy free ↑. I have trouble finding it in my area, so you can also use another type of frozen caramel treat like a yogurt or ice cream 🙂

Make sure to follow me on snapchat (username @alexisroch) or instagram for this weekly series! I have many more fun drinks coming up including some slushies, teas and other fun summer drinks to enjoy! 🙂
