I have been enjoying this quick one minute iced coffee recipe lately, and wanted to share it with you!

We have talked about coffee many times on Chemistry Cachet. Not only is coffee delicious, but it has health benefits too.

One of those benefits is energy. The energy isn’t just the caffeine, but the compounds found in the coffee bean.

Quick One Minute Iced Coffee For Energy

Quick One Minute Iced Coffee For Energy

Ingredients Needed:

  • 1 packet WAKA instant coffee ( or one serving of instant coffee)
  • 6 oz hot water**
  • 2 oz unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • dash of cinnamon
  • Honey to taste

Directions:

1. Add the instant coffee packet to the hot water, stir until dissolved.
2. Add in honey if you want sweetness.
3. Pour coffee in a glass with ice, then add in almond milk.
4. Sprinkle cinnamon on top, then stir well.

**You can also reduce water to 4 oz if you want a stronger espresso flavor 🙂

Why This Iced Coffee Recipe Is Good For Energy:

All the ingredients in this recipe are beneficial for some quick energy. I love to share science behind how things work, so I thought it would be fun to share some information on this coffee recipe too.

Instant Coffee

Coffee in general is really great for energy. The caffeine helps with this, but the coffee itself contains numerous compounds that are good for you. The roasting process creates different vitamins and minerals linked to fighting off depression, but also longevity. It can help you focus too. We have an in-depth article you can check out for more information on the health benefits of coffee. Bottom line though, coffee is a great, healthy way for getting some energy.

Coffee only gets unhealthy when you start adding in some bad ingredients, but this recipe will help you avoid that!

Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk

I love adding in almond milk to iced coffee for a few reasons. First, it is very thick and creamy, so it creates the best texture for iced drinks. Almond milk is also very nutritious with high vitamin D levels along with calcium. It also will not raise blood sugar levels according to Medical News Today which means it won’t give you a crash later on. This means it will aide in good energy levels.

If you don’t like almond milk, you can try adding in coconut or oat milk for another dairy-free alternative.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is one of my favorite additions for coffee. It also helps regulate blood sugar which is great for adding to caffeinated drinks. Cinnamon is great for your health too. You can get are fun article all about cinnamon here.

Honey

Last on the list is honey. I personally don’t like sweet coffee, so I don’t add any. Honey is a really good option though! It is a natural sweetener, but has numerous health benefits. It is also good for energy! You can read more about honey here.

More About Instant Coffee

I love keeping instant coffee on hand so I don’t have to brew another pot. Not all instant coffee is good quality though. WAKA instant coffee sent me some packets to try, and I really loved it! I got some boxes for my Dad because he loves instant coffee. I have been using the medium roast.

You can also use instant coffee for a fun DIY under eye serum!

Feel free to substitute your favorite instant coffee or even use leftover brewed coffee which I do all the time as well!

I hope you enjoy making this recipe!

    Alexis,
Please check on this instant Waka coffee that your site leads us to amazon.
I tried to order several packs and had problems with payment. I didn’t get to use the normal amazon prime payment method.
This company wants you to scan your card. It won’t accept normal amazon payment. We called amazon and they said this is not right. We should not be scanning a picture of our credit cards to this company.
Amazon recommend we empty our amazon box and get out of the site and reboot.
Amazon said they would do a investigation into Waka Coffee.
I was very disappointed that this had to happen. I have problems with caffeine and like iced coffee. Using the caffeine free packet I thought I could enjoy a coffee every once in a while with your recipe.
Please check this out and let your fans know amazon said not to use scan payment!!
    Thank you!
    Diana

Hi! I have never heard of this before. I just clicked on the Amazon link and it leads right to the Amazon prime product. I ordered this from Amazon with these links and it was a normal prime product. Please double check it again
