I am so excited to introduce the new RA Healthline App with you today! This is a support app for those with rheumatoid arthritis.
Over the last several years, more and more readers have been coming to Chemistry Cachet for arthritis related help. When I learned about this new app Healthline has launched, I knew it would be a great resource for our readers who suffer from rheumatoid arthritis!
Introducing the New RA Healthline App
When I was first diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at 10, I felt very alone. I didn’t know anyone who had RA especially people who were my age. It was an “old-ladies” disease! I tried to fit in and be like everyone else, but I couldn’t. There were many times I had to miss school for doctors appointments or treatments. Medications would make me tired or withdrawn, and I also missed out on the things I used to love like running and basketball.
It took years for me to figure out how to live successfully with RA. When I started blogging here on Chemistry Cachet, I shared a few stories about living with arthritis. I started seeing more and more people coming to this website for tips, community, and experience.
I realized there were others like me who felt alone and distant from friends and family who might not understand what they were going through. There are still times when no one seems to understand. It can be frustrating!
We all need a community of people who understand things!
This is where the RA Healthline app comes in!
It is an app full of people going through the same thing you are! Maybe you were just diagnosed or you have gone through this for year, but continue to struggle.
It is a perfect place for those people and everyone in between! Today, we want to share some of the features of this new app.
After you download the app, you will set up a quick profile section.
There are five main sections in the app:
Home:
The home page is your news feed. All the new questions and posts show up here.
Groups:
This is the tab with all the categories. Things like pain management, flares and triggers, daily life, work, diagnosis, and even symptoms. There are also live chats that happen in the group section. I will be hosting two live chats in the coming weeks (Sunday June 28th and Monday July 6th). You can join the live chats as they happen or come back to read through the discussion. It is all under this tab.
Members:
This is the heart of the app which is the community. You have an option in the members tab to turn on a daily match. You are matched according to interest and age. It is a great way to talk with someone who is going through similar things. You can have conversations with other members!
Messages:
This is where all your chats will be saved.
Discover:
One of my favorite features is the discover section! You will find health and medical based articles relating to rheumatoid arthritis. So many great articles you can go through each day.
Here is a quick screen shot of inside the app. You can see my profile, the group section, then the discover section. If you look at the discover section you can see the other tabs in the app we talk about.
I will also be hosting TWO live chats on Sunday June 28th and Monday July 6th! Mark your calendars, and be sure to check instagram stories for a reminder.
Let me know if you download the app, I hope to see you there!
I look forward to connecting with you 🙂
