Cinnamon Hazelnut Frozen Cold Brew Coffee

If you’ve never drank cold brew, and you’re a coffee lover, you are MISSING OUT! It is incredibly smooth in flavor and makes the perfect iced coffee drinks.

The minute warmer weather rolls around, I immediately start using cold brew when I can. Although I still need my regular hot coffee in the morning (even when it’s 100 out), I love iced coffee in the afternoon. Cold brew is the perfect solution!

Making your own cold brew is so easy, and I love keeping it on hand. If you don’t have time to make your own, Chameleon cold brew is the ONLY way to go (not sponsored, I just love it) ! They make the best one that I have personally tried. I buy it in any grocery store in the cold healthy drink section.

This cinnamon hazelnut frozen cold brew coffee is one of my favorite ways to have cold brew, it is such a fun afternoon treat.

Hazelnut is by FAR my favorite coffee flavor! I mean it works so well with chocolate like in this chocolate hazelnut coffee, but it also is good on it’s own.

Back in the fall, I shared with five unexpected things to add to your coffee, and one of those was cinnamon. Many readers told me they had never tried cinnamon with coffee, but were totally hooked on it now. Cinnamon adds the perfect touch!

This cinnamon hazelnut frozen cold brew coffee is the best way to welcome May!

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup cold brew
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1-2 tbsp silk almond hazelnut creamer
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 - 3 tsp coconut nectar
  • 1-2 cups ice
Servings:
Instructions
  1. Add everything to a good blender. For a sweeter frozen coffee, use 3 or even 4 teaspoons of coconut nectar. I like mine a little sweet, but not much, so I typically add 2.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Top with some dairy-free whipped cream and cinnamon!

Cinnamon Hazelnut Frozen Cold Bew that is totally dairy free AND low in sugar! on chemistrycachet.com

Chemist Tip

If you don’t mind having dairy, you can easily make your own chemical -free hazelnut creamer with this recipe! It is a great alternative to store bought, but it does have dairy. Silk creamer is made from almond milk and is the perfect dairy free creamer with very little chemicals!

Cold brew coffee is a brewing technique using no heat so the chemical process that results allows for coffee brewed with this method to be less acid and smoother in flavor! If you don’t have cold brew, or don’t want to use it, substitute with a very strong brewed coffee instead 🙂

So, let’s talk about coconut nectar for a second. This is a totally natural, unrefined sugar option made from coconut. It reminds me a little of honey, but with a sweeter taste to it. It is actually fairly low in sugar, but does a good job of making drinks really have a great, sweetness to them! You can substitute ANY sweetener you like for this recipe, but this coconut nectar really pairs well with it, so if you get a chance to try it out, definitely do! I like this brand the best!

Another fun way to have cold brew? Check out this popsicle from last summer….I can’t wait to make some more of those! Yum!

Have a great day!
