This salted caramel apple pie shake is full of so much flavor, you would never believe it is low calorie!
Caramel and apple are the perfect pair for this season. Remembering fall as a kid, caramel apples always come to mind. They are still one of my favorite treats every Halloween!
Now that I am an adult, I appreciate the flavors of caramel and apple just as much as the actual caramel apple itself. When I was experimenting with this, I couldn’t get over how DELICIOUS the flavor was! I was inspired by Torani’s fall flavored syrups which are amazing! The one I used for this was the sugar-free salted caramel…so tasty!
My chemist twist on many drink recipes is the addition of extracts, so if you can also try extract for this one if you have some on hand 🙂
In true chemistry cachet fashion, this recipe is low in calories, so you can enjoy it without the guilt!
Salted Caramel Apple Pie Shake
- 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 2 tbsp applesauce
- 1 tsp Torani salted caramel syrup (or 1 tsp caramel extract)
- dash apple pie spice
- 1/2 cup greek yogurt (try an apple flavored one!)
- 2 tbsp sweetener (I use stevia)
- 1/2 cup sweet diced apple (I love Fuji)
- Handful of ice
Directions:
Blend until smooth, then enjoy!
I love this recipe so much right now because even though it is still warm outside, I can enjoy the flavors of fall!
