Welcome back to Chemistry Cachet’s series Skincare Products Tested By a Chemist (Skincare Empties).
Every few months, I gather up all the skincare products I have completely finished, then share my honest review of each one with you.
I choose a mixture of popular products readers ask me to test along with science-based ingredients I want to test out for myself.
No sponsored content is in this post, so these are all items I have purchased on my own for research and review.

Clean Skin Club Cloths
I started to use these products last year at the recommendation of my dermatologist. I have eczema prone skin, but using these disposable soft cloths has been super helpful at eliminating sensitivities and bacteria that contribute to eczema. I get these refilled every few months. ON SALE TODAY ON AMAZON!
GSB Skin Firming Cream
If you want a science-based face cream, I always love Good Science Beauty. Their skin firming cream combines poria cocos and barley extract for a really unique firming cream that hydrates also. They have a discount code for Chemistry Cachet readers, use chemistrycachet30 for 30% off at checkout.
Revive Me Firming Serum
This is a daily product for me I have been using 4 years now. The uniqueness to this is the combination of hyaluronic acid AND niacinamide together for deep hydration and firming. They have given chemistry cachet readers a unique code you can always use at checkout, alexisroch .
C Me VC-IP Serum
The famous and popular VC-IP serum (code alexisroch) is always on my list because it works so well. If you missed out on the post we did on this, make sure you catch up here on VC-IP vitamin C serum and how it works so magically (much better than the common ascorbic acid). The discount code alexisroch also works for this one, 30% off right now!
Repairing Face Cream
There are two of these jars (code alexisroch) in this list because I used it all winter. From about November to March, one jar lasts about 1.5 months or so using it twice a day. This works to repair the skin barrier, so it is helpful for anyone with dry skin. I love this one!
Foaming Face Wash
This is a product (code alexisroch) I use all year for washing my face and removing makeup. It has been really great for my eczema prone skin! This one is always on our list. This is also 30% off right now!
Promise Mango Serum
I purchased several of these, and I thought it was a nice soft gentle serum. It is not as powerful as the Firming Face Serum mentioned above, but I really loved the soft texture. I might repurchase this again later on.
Pure Argan Oil
Argan oil is rich in fatty acids and has such a great absorption. This is one of my favorite oils (code alexisroch) for my hands and feet along with my cuticles. A reader had asked me to test this brand after she had tried several amazon options, but wasn’t impressed with how they absorbed. I really loved how quickly this oil absorbed, so it doesn’t leave skin greasy. This is also a great option for extra dry spots on your face. I have used this around my nose in the winter when it gets chapped.
I keep this oil on hand especially in the winter!
Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer
This is the only hand sanitizer (code alexisroch) I can use! I have suffered with hand eczema for years which gets worse with the drying of washing and hand sanitizing. I started using this several years ago, and it has been a game changer for me!
Readers have loved it too, so I made sure to keep the empty bottle to include in this post. One bottle lasts several months for me.
Biodance Collagen Masks
I didn’t save the cardboard box for this, but I finished another round of these viral collagen masks. They are amazing. I have tried several brands, but these worked the best and hydrated skin better. They are ON SALE NOW for the Amazon Spring Sale. Grab it today!
Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum
Last year on IG I asked readers what brand they would like me to test. I had many requests for Mad Hippie, in particular the vitamin C serum. I used the entire bottle and thought it was okay. It has an oil like texture, so it was a little harder on my skin.
I have been spoiled with the VC-IP vitamin c serum that works so well. I will try more Mad Hippie products to include in these posts. For now, I don’t think I would repurchase this one.
DEPOLOGY HA+ CICA
I LOVE this serum. It is a must have for me with eczema prone skin. If my skin is starting to flare with eczema, I incorporate the HA and CICA serum to my daily routine and it really calms irritated skin. I have tried a few brands, but I like Depology best.
Needles No More
Last product on this list is the Dr. Brandt Needles No More which was another reader request. I have actually used this many years ago and forgot about it. I bought it again to test it, and I just wasn’t impressed. The texture was a little off and it dried out my skin. The price was pretty high too. Overall, this brand has not been successful for me. It is expensive, and I haven’t like any of the products I have used.
