I have this huge shelf in our garage that is full of dozens (and dozens) of spray paint cans! I use them for almost every project I do inside or outside. The color combinations are endless, and they jazz up almost anything you have sitting around.

Did you catch my post last summer about all my chemist tips on spray paint? If not, definitely check that out first before you start on any project.

Spray painting is chemistry at it’s finest!

13 Super Quick & Easy Spray Paint Projects for Summer

Thanks to chemistry, we have this amazing DIY tool that makes life so much easier. To be honest, it is one of the only types of painting I really enjoy.

I love how many amazing projects there are out there from creative minds. Summer is the perfect time of year to work on a pray painting project since the weather is warm and the days are long!

Sometimes I see something sitting around the house that isn’t the right color, or just looks a little dull. I spray paint it and it immediately looks better! I have been seeing so many neat projects online involving spray paint, so here is a list of super quick and easy spray paint projects for summer!

Click on the title of each one for the link!!

Make A Fairy Lantern from Chemistry Cachet

Take an old paint can and turn it into a fairy lantern. This one is so fun for kids to help with too!

Sea Foam Glass Jars from Craft Box Girls

Use Kyrlon Sea Glass spray paint and paint old jars. This tutorial is a good one to follow. This is such a cool look and a great way to use old glass jars.

Spray Painted Coffee Mug from The Crazy Organized Blog

Another great spray paint project to try this summer is spray painting coffee mugs. This makes a fun gift idea.

Refurbished Vintage Lantern from Chemistry Cachet

Obviously the picture below isn’t summer, but you can see my vintage lantern on the mantel. I keep it up there all year, then change it out for the season. It is a great summer project, but you can use it all year long!

I love the look of copper spray paint. This project using tin cans is another fun one for the summer!

Transform Outdoor Chair from Rust-Oleum

Give old outdoor chairs new life with some spray paint! This is a good project for the summer, and you can do this with all types of chairs. Plastic, wood, or metal outdoor chairs can be renewed with spray paint.

Paint Metal Outdoor Furniture from H20 Bungalow

Here is another tutorial for spray painting outdoor metal furniture.

Lawn Twister from The Sparrow’s Nest

Spray painting your lawn for a twister game is a great summer idea! This would be fun for a summer birthday party or sleepover.

Turn a plastic bucket into a stone planter with a little spray paint. I did this project almost 10 years ago, and it is a great way to make planters look more expensive and nice.

Perk Up A Broom from BHG

Spray paint an old wooden broom to perk it up!

Spray Paint Old Suitcase

You can also spray paint old suitcases.

Cute DIY Bird Feeder from HGTV

This is another project I did one summer about 10 years ago! Reuse an old paint can for a planter and spray paint it!

All of these projects are fast, easy and doable for everyone! Remember to read some of my tips and tricks for spray paint if you are new to it or want some ideas! That post also contains my FAVORITE spray painting took ever, if you have problems with your hands or RA like I do, this tool is the perfect solution!

I love to spray paint! My brother often picks on me and says, “give my sister a glass of wine and a bottle of spray paint for a new world.” HA!

These are great projects… I like the bird feeder – classic, simple, resourceful. I don’t recall spray-painting anything before although I’ve used spray adhesive while at the architectural office. (With my luck, the wind will shift and I’ll have spray painted ME instead of the object… LOL) Something to explore! I think making “stone” planters would be neat in my yard…
