Tea Party Celebration at the Ashton Hotel in Fort Worth

One of my best friends and I have stumbled upon a tradition we really love! We’ve been having tea party celebrations the past few years and it really is such a great way to celebrate a special occasion.

Although I have lived around Fort Worth almost my entire life, I didn’t discover this high tea downtown until she was getting ready to get married. I wanted to plan something special and though going to a fancy tea would be perfect.

Now we do it a few times a year! Last weekend we were celebrating her 30th birthday, and it was blast. The weather was also really chilly, so they had a fire going which was perfect for the mood.

They always have different options of tea to choose from, so I tried the white pomegranate this time. It was so good!

Although they have four different courses of little treats and foods, the last part with the desserts is my favorite! Creme Brulee, chocolate shortbread, and white chocolate scones plus some chocolate covered strawberries. I don’t even like sweets that much, and I love all these things! So delicious!

The Ashton Hotel has the cutest lobby too. Each time we go, they have a totally different decoration theme! It’s amazing we’ve been friends for about 28 years now and have celebrated all our birthday’s together.

P.s – I bought this maroon dress in the fall, but it was never cold enough to wear it! So happy I could finally use it lol 🙂

I’ve been wanting to set up a coffee bar in my kitchen for awhile now, and I finally got around to it last week! I will share all the details on it soon! It is definitely my new favorite area!

Happy Friday! What are your plans for the weekend?

Hi Elizabeth! I’ve always loved science, even when I was a little girl I wanted to be a scientist. I thought about different specialty fields, but decided to focus on my favorite. I thought since chemistry is the basis of all sciences, it would be the most fun to do in college. I had no idea it would be so in depth and overwhelming at times, but I loved knowing the how and why behind everything. I was also diagnosed with RA at age 10, so I always wanted to know more about the science of health and medications 🙂

Happy Friday! What a lovely tea! It’s been a long time since I’ve done a high tea… and I have a nice place in my city! Going to remedy that… I love all sorts of teas (and love to try all kinds), and the sweets are divine. What a beautiful picture of you and Megan… such pretty ladies… and a life long friendship. What treasures. Have a great weekend! 🙂

I LOVE this tradition! I am a big high tea fan- I even hosted an adult tea party when Kate and William got married, which is know is super nerdy, but I just can’t resist those beautiful tea cups and tiny finger sandwiches! Also, love the sneak peak of the coffee bar- looks adorable!

The white pomegranate tea sounds delish! My grandmother used to host tea parties all the time so I learned from the best how to make little sandwiches and such yet I’ve never hosted one of my own.

That is so neat your grandmother used to do that! I never grew up around it, so it was such a neat experience when we first started going a few years ago 🙂
